This rainbow filliment can make some really cool and beautiful prints and it did do the job I wanted. I do have a couple issues though that I thought I should share. First, the peacock image displayed this product listing is misleading as it shows a distinct blue layer. There is no blue layer in this filliment. I've used 3 rolls and they all transition straight from red, to purple, to green, to yellow, to gold, and back to red. No blue. Second, the suggested print temp range is listed as 205c-230c. However, with the suggested temps I experienced clog after clog that required disassembly of my hot end to get at. I finally got it to print well and consistently at 235c. This is hotter than I feel like I should have needed to go. Maybe quality control is lacking and I got a bad batch? Doubt it since three rolls performed the same. Lastly, this stuff is super brittle and not because of the high heat required to print. Even on the roll if you compare it to another brand it is not as pliable. It will snap when others continue to bend further. This isn't a problem assuming you are just printing something for looks. Just know, it will break apart very easy under any strain and be careful when removing any printed supports. ... show more

I purchased this filament specifically to print a dragon for my daughters birthday. The result is absolutely stunning. Please see it for yourself in the attached picture. Clear details, precise dimensions and extremely little stringing, considering that the print head constantly jumps from one diamond to the next. A couple of technical notes: I printed with a Prusa Mini+. 0.2mm layer height, 0.4mm nozzle. Slicing was done with PrusaSlicer, using the “Generic PLA” profile. No further adjustments were necessary. If I remember correctly, that profile starts with 215° for the first layer or two, then drops down to 210° for the remainder. Adhesion of the filament on Prusa’s smooth build plate was great. FYI, I generally prepare my build plate by slightly sanding it with a 400 grit sandpaper (only necessary every few weeks), then giving it a good wash with additive-free dish soap (necessary every few builds, or after kids touched it). Before attempting this complex (and looong print), I only made one test print of a Benchy boat to verify settings and quality. That one was flawless, too. I was a bit scared using non-normalized filament, but I really wanted fast color changing filament for smaller prints with more variety. I had a mishap, not the filaments fault, but it actually was saved twice. The feet feel over and the goats head almost didn't print but again, not the filaments fault, should have done a better slice. The rooster printed absolutely incredible, adhered well and just looks insanely good. Will defenately be getting another roll whenever I run out! ... show more

We've tried different filaments with our Ender V2 and this one works beautifully. The prints are so solid and practically seamless. This rainbow colors are so fun and they have a really nice shine to them. Highly recommend this!

Using this filament, I printed three of cinderwing3D's articulated crystal dragons. The colors and sheen are really neat, with a strong resemblance to bismuth crystals. As it extrudes, this filament has a tendency to shrink, making it appear to suck back into the nozzle. I suspect this mechanical property is why this filament has a tendency to clog or resist adherance. From what I've read, a lot of silk PLAs do this. Getting good first layer adhesion with this filament was a bit of a struggle, but once I nailed my bed alignment and temperatures, things went smoothly. On my particular printer, an extruder temp of 230C and a bed temp of 50C worked well. Since I was printing on glass , as usual, I used a layer of purple Elmer's glue. I found that using a strong external fan after the first layer reduced stringing and the risk of clogs. ... show more
