  • PERFECT FOR GARAGE VS HANGING A BIKE ON A RACK, OR AGAINST A WALL! TREK MADONE SLR 9
Style: for 2 bikes
I decided to take a flyer on this rack because I do not own a bike rack where I can hang my bike, considering how expensive my bike is. I don't know how often my bike almost fell, LAYING IT against something in the garage. The base is heavy, in a good way. Also, it's nice that this has been doubling as a maintenance rack for working on my bike instead of suspending it in the air. For example, when cleaning my bike, instead of just lying it against the wall or turning it upside down, I can work on specific parts of the drivetrain, wiping it down or throwing some wax on the frame. Another thing: Working on disc brakes, rear or front derailers, or just some overall maintenance on a bike, it's nice to have it versus a RACK, which can be a pain. You're only for one person. The other rack doubles as a nice little clothing rack, depending on the time of year you want to try out your gear! This weighs 17 pounds, so depending on whether you have a road or mountain bike, it will add some weight to your BASE for stability. So I would try this out first and ensure there's nothing around it because bikes can wait 20 3040 pounds. I'm happy I found an alternative way, especially for maintenance. It's been working out nicely, and I've spent much less time and effort setting everything up. ... show more

  • Simple dual bike rack, check for QC build issue
Style: for 2 bikes
Bike rack came in box well packaged with plastic bags. Simple instructions for assembly and just need a large Philips head driver for assembly and possible second person to hold parts for assembly. Rack has screw on feet for leveling and this is where issue started. All finished assembling and last step is screw in feet, which one couldn't be done, as they welded the nut inside out of place, requiring replacement to get a proper QC built rack. Second unit came in and was assembled without issue. Rack holds both my 24" & 26" MTBs fine. ... show more

  • Decent floor stand
Style: for 2 bikes
I would love to be able to hang my bikes on a wall to get them more out of the way, but I don't have any wall space available in my garage, so floor stand it is - and this one does the job nicely. Once assembled, it is solid. That being said, assembly is a little bit of a pain - getting the bars lined up to be able to screw in the bolts. The instructions mention having two people for assembling - one to hold the pieces in place while the other screws in the bolts. However with a bit of patience, I did manage by myself. I am using the stand to store my 29er mountain bike and a 700cc gravel bike. Be sure to check the width of your mountain bike tires. The listing does state "max tire width 2.3 inches" - mine are 2.25 inches and they fit snugly. ... show more

  • Great, sturdy bike stand
Style: for 1 bike
If you have kids and your kids have bikes, you know that trying to corral bikes in the garage can seem like an impossible challenge. After trying to find a reliable place for our daughter to prop her bike up where it wouldn't fall over or be in the way, we gave up and I got this bike stand. It's great! This stand arrived unassembled, but it was very easy to put together--just four screws (you'll need to provide a large philips head screwdriver) hold it all together and then four adjustable feet thread into the underside of the rack. The product listing says 20 minutes to assemble; it took me more like 5 minutes, so don't let that intimidate you. It's nice that it has adjustable feet in case you're dealing with an uneven surface and need to adjust them to get rid of any wobble in the rack. This thing is sturdy--all the metal pieces are heavy duty, and there's really no flex to any of it. It's easy to slot the bike wheel into the rack, even for a kid. And it's very stable with the bike in the rack--I have no concerns about it tipping over. Note that the product says it'll accommodate bikes with tires up to 2.3" wide and that's just about spot on. For reference, my daughter's bike is a medium adult frame with 27.5" x 2.25" tires and those tires fit in nicely, but I don't think you could go a lot larger on the tire width. ... show more

  • Nice setup, but missing pieces and unable to fully assemble
Style: for 2 bikes
I want to like this, and with minimal improvements it could be a 5 star listing. However, in assembling this bike rack I found that I was missing one bolt, meaning I couldn't fully assemble it. I also found that one of the slots where a foot was supposed to screw into the tubing was welded on in such a way that the bolt doesn't fit through the hole straight, so I can't actually get the threads on the foot to line up with the hole threads. Aside from these quality assurance problems, the rack itself is pretty nice, coming together fairly simply, and being made from sturdy materials. The whole thing is coated in a black textured paint that should help keep it from rusting. ... show more

  • Space saving!
Style: for 2 bikes
I love how much space this saves. I was originally confused as to why one of the stands was higher than the other, but it's designed this way so that two bikes can be much closer to one another without the handlebars getting in the way. This means you're able to save space and have your bikes not fall over when you look at them the wrong way! (Because lets be real, those kickstand barely do anything). Also, let me just warn my not-so-handy friends out there that putting this together is a bit of a doozy. It's not necessarily even difficult, but you'll need -- at minimum -- one other person to help you hold pieces together. Two would probably be better (my sister had better things to do...) It took my mom and me a good 25 minutes. The instructions were super clear and easy, it was just aligning several holes together and making sure the screw was going in straight that took us so long...just take some deep breaths lol. I recommend this if you're looking to organize/improve your garage! :) ... show more

  • Works Well
Style: for 2 bikes
A bit tricky to get assembled since you have to put these metal flat pieces and line them up -- easier with two people. It's nice and heavy, very sturdy and lets you get two bikes next to each other without their handlebars interfering.
