This does offer good lumbar support because it's firm and stays put on the chair. If you suffer from back problems this is worth it, but don't waste your money on the seat cushion, it's hard as a rock and very uncomfortable. I can only use the lumbar back support cushion.

The purpose of the cushion is provide back support and at this task the product works well. However, it is so rigid and stiff tat it made it uncomfortable to lean on. I do not have the seat that goes with it which, I admit, may have an impact on this level of comfort. I also find myself wondering if weight and size plays into the comfortability as well. I am a larger woman so it could be that the width of my back is wider thus positioning the back differently. The cushion is certainly cost effective and provides good support and would be well suited for those who like a firmer cushion. ... show more

I have a traditional, sturdy lumbar support for my car, but wanted one for my husband's car as well, because I always forget to bring mine when I'm in his car. I saw this one and because it looked like the Maserati of back supports, something completely different, AND teal, I decided to give it a try. Wasted money! I used it on a 20-minute drive in the driver's seat. The support up the sides felt really nice initially, but I had to adjust it constantly because it's annoying when it's not aligned absolutely symmetrically. The belt does nothing to keep it in place. It didn't feel like it gave my lower spine any support but I still kept an open mind. Then I used it on a 4-hour drive in the passenger seat. Same constant adjusting and afterwards my back was killing me, as much as if I hadn't used any support at all. So it has no support where you need it - it just looks flashy and it's expensive.
