Love this skillet, i bought it to boil my salsa in since I make my recipe in a frying pan and like to make large batches. The size od this thing is perfect. It is super heavy, but what do you expect from solid cast-iron?Works great. Even though it said pre-seasoned i went ahead and made sure i fried some stuff in oil in the pan first thing for extra protection before doing anything else with it. Have had it for a few month now, love it, can fry lots of burgers at once, make large portions of stir fry, or anything else i need a huge pan for. Since its cast iron I am sure it will last forever with proper maintanance. ... show more

I love this set! Lots of different sizes and uses makes it a great value. They are cast iron so they’re kind of heavy. I didn’t think they too heavy, but my mom did. They are very rough when you first get them so season, season, season! Cook really fatty foods on them first and then they won’t stick… unless you forget to heat the pan first or don’t season well. They have even heat distribution if on the right eye. I use them on my cooktop and in the oven with no problems. You can even use them on the grill, in the smoker, or over the campfire (selling points for my husband). Yes, they take some extra TLC but they seem like good quality and will last a really long time! ... show more

We like this set, though the pans do need some extra seasoning. Once seasoned, they are relatively easy to clean and keep in good shape. The large one is heavy (it is cast iron, after all) but the smaller ones are easy to handle. The rubber handles are nice but the pans still get hot, so I use a pot holder, as well. The divot in the rim makes it easy to pour grease out of the pan while holding browned hamburg in the pan with the lid. ... show more

Finally threw them away and ordered these. Feels good to know we're not eating those chemicals. Seasoned these after receiving and they work wonders. First off, if you are coming to the reviews while deciding to buy, these look exactly like the pic for the sets . second I bought the 17pc set #3 . that's 17 pieces total from pans to holder to accessories. 9 pots or pans (Dutch oven lid doubles as a pan), one lid which fits the square pan, one pan holder shelf, 2 scrapers ( 1 textured 1 flat) and 6 silicone handles. These are easy to use once you aquaint yourself with how cast iron is and proper cleaning methods. They are heavy. It's cast iron not some flimsy pan so be prepared to carry in a heavy box or unbox on your porch and carry in the individual packing boxes. Our came in a variety of sizes for all of someone's cooking needs. The smaller 6in is great for eggs or single burger etc or to bake up a small batch of corn bread in. The heat distribution is much better than a thin pan there is less uneven heat temps like a cheapo pan with Teflon. So while the part on the burner may be slightly hotter, overall the heat is better distributed. If you preheat these to a good temp and use oil or butter, things shouldn't stick , make sure to keep a decent amt going. I can't stress how good of a value this set is!! I've priced pieces individually in stores and one piece can be $30-50. I've also priced second hand pieces and they want more $ than buying new ... show more
