I like these pans. Got em a few days ago and have used them a few times. They heat up nicely and evenly. The silicon utensils are nice. The lids are well built for the price. I can't speak for the durability yet. The 2.4 qt sauce pan arrived with a broken handle. This could have been simply a defect in the firing process, because the pans were packed pretty well to distribute stress in the box. After an email to Carote's customer service, they sent a new one. So the main complaint I had has been addressed well. The handle appears wooden but it is a finish. The inside is more like ceramic. This is a non-stick surface (so it probably has some kind of teflon) and it seems fairly durable; still, I would recommend only using silicon/wood tools with the pots. ... show more

I recently purchased this cookware set, and at first glance, it appeared to be an excellent buy. The design is sleek, the material feels durable, and the set includes a good variety of pots and pans, perfect for a well-rounded kitchen setup. I was initially impressed by how evenly the pans heat up, and the non-stick surface worked beautifully for frying, searing, and sautéing. The handles also stayed cool to the touch, which is always a bonus for safety and ease of use. However, after a few days of cooking, I noticed a flaw that I couldn't overlook—some of the lids do *not* fit the frying pan as advertised. While this didn't impact the smaller pots and pans, it was inconvenient when I needed to cover my frying pan during cooking. The mismatch was a bit disappointing, considering the overall quality of the set. I reached out to customer service and requested a new set, hoping that this was just a one-off manufacturing error. They were responsive and quick to send a replacement, which is great, but I'll be waiting to see if the new set resolves the lid issue. In summary, the set offers great performance and looks high-quality, but make sure to check if all the pieces, especially the lids, fit as expected. The replacement and so far so good! I received my pots and pans, which are wonderful. The only small problem I had were with 2 of the lids that seemed to retain moisture between the handle and the lid. It was a concern so I contacted customer support and they were SO helpful. I just sent a photo and described what was happening and they contacted me right back, within just a couple days new lids were shipped out to me. I would highly recommend these pots and pans. I purchased these pots and pans as a Christmas gift for my wife, who is the primary cook in our household. Initially, we were impressed with their aesthetic appeal and the comfortable feel they offer. These cookware items are notably lighter than our older Calphalon set, making them easier to handle. It's worth mentioning that while the handles have a wood-like appearance, they are not made of wood and will burn your hand if you touch them while hot. In terms of performance, during our limited usage, they have demonstrated even cooking, which is a significant plus. Furthermore, following the manufacturer's recommendation to allow them to cool down before cleaning, we found them exceptionally easy to clean. However, the main issue we encountered relates to the handles. Although they have an attractive design, we experienced a durability concern. During the very first use, while boiling eggs on medium heat, a portion of the handle unexpectedly broke off with a loud pop. We were surprised to find a piece of the handle on our griddle cover. I've attached pictures taken immediately after this incident, including one of the underside of the handle. In summary, we are quite fond of these pots and pans with the exception of their durability. Given this issue, we are considering returning them and exploring alternative options. We are also looking into the possibility of getting a replacement pot to prevent any safety concerns related to the handle. It's worth noting that our experience may be an isolated incident, as we haven't come across similar reports in the few Amazon reviews we've read. I'll update this review to share the resolution once it's reached. UPDATE 01/11/2024: After posting my above update, I planned to reach out to Carote. I was not able to do so that day and when I was about to do so two days later, I noticed I had already received an email from Carote Brands via my Amazon account. By reaching out to me, they saved me additional time of having to reach out to them. They resolved the issue in a way which leaves me completely satisfied and will to try their products going forward. As for our pans, they have been working really well. I am still continually surprised at how light weight they are based on how the look. The non-stick feature has been very good as well. Even when letting melted cheese dry in the pot, I soak it in water for about ten minutes and then everything wipes out with a sponge. I haven't had any issues with cooking food or cleaning the dishes. Due to the warning in the packaging and the warnings in the instructions, we keep a cloth between the pans/pots that we are stacking to protect the material. I have updated my 2-star review to 4 stars to reflect their excellent customer service and the quality of the product, with the exception of my first review. I will update this in the future if I can remember or if someone reaches out. ... show more
