Bought this mainly for the rear surround speakers in a home theatre setup and I'm pleased! 100 feet was long enough for those wires plus the speaker wires for the front speakers. The wire is easy to separate and pliable enough to not be a problem when unreeling the wire. Good quality. Not 100% copper but I'm not all that concerned about a few fractions of an ohm since the wire run was only 28 feet. The subwoofer measured 7.5 ohms so we will be close to the ideal 8 ohms which is what my old amp likes best..

I bought two sets to connect surround speakers to a receiver in a 5.1 system. Easy to strip, red line runs length as polarity indicator (see photo). CCA (copper clad aluminum) wire, so lower price, but I find sound quality fantastic. So, excellent wire at an unbeatable value. Five stars *****.

Used this on my own perosnal home theater sound system. It was overkill for use but so inexpensive it was worth it. Wire was very easy to pull through the walls/ceiling. Easily identifiable polarity markings. Good quality. Would definitely recommend!

It is speaker wire. Bear in mind, it is copper clad aluminum (which keeps the cost down). The wire is made up of very fine individual conductors which keep the cables very flexible. I appreciate the white insulation as it fits the esthetics of the room. For me, they feed the rear surround speakers and I wasn't able to hide the cable the entire run. The 12 gauge cable works perfectly with banana plug connectors from Amazon, Monoprice, and others. It also twists up nice if you need to feed it through a screw and post connector. I am very happy with the performance of the cable overall and would not hesitate to purchase again. ... show more
