I've been meaning to purchase one of these since it is usually difficult to cut and separate ground meat during cooking. I found this at a discount, I believe, and went ahead to see if it was worth getting. The build is quite sturdy. It is made of really, really hard plastic but maybe has some metal parts inside since it is quite heavy for a cooking utensil. The edges you use to cut the meat is fairly sharp. This is needed, of course, to cut meat accordingly without having to strain one's self. Just be careful and mindful that it is so as to not cause injury while cooking with it or washing it.
