    • Love Love! Works as advertised
I just prepped 3/4 lb baby carrots and a large red onion in under 4 minutes, and that includes peeling the onion and rough chopping into quarters. Took me less than 2 minutes to clean. Only other thing I used was a knife to cut the onion. Simple to use (although for harder things like carrots you'll need to hit it or have enough muscle to squeeze it down, but I was doing 4 baby carrots at a time). Changing blades couldn't be easier. Clean up is a breeze with the tools provided. No muss, no fuss, no cutting board or 20 minutes of cutting. And I can store the veggies in the container until needed. Fullstar also has covers for the catch bowl and I think I'll purchase them in the future. The only reason I gave a 4 out of 5 is one, I can't give 4.5 stars. Second, it's a shame that it doesn't come with a slicing blade, like if you want to slice celery or thin strips of apple or sweet potato for drying or potato for au gratan potatos. The egg slicer will only reliably slice soft things like an egg or a ripe avocado. Had it come with that slicing blade, the review would have been 5. ... show more

I am so happy with my purchase of this wonderful chopper. Being a senior I often have difficulties doing certain tasks. And this lovely chopper has my potatoes chopped and ready to boil in just a few brief minutes. A great time saver and saves my hands and wrists. I highly recommend this wonderful chopper no matter your age. I haven't used all the attachments yet. So as I use it more I will come back and edit my review with any pertinent information. I also like how it has the bottom to keep your vegetables contained while chopping and slicing. Its very sharp and it's easy to change out the different plates. So far it's very durable. I chopped three whole peppers and two onions in less than a minute into perfect cubes. What a time saver! Very easy to clean. Stores nicely under my counter. Well built - heavy duty. Very satisfied and highly recommend. I love this! Used it the same day I got it. I bought the 2 in 1 with the two blades it's all I needed. It seems sturdy so far helped me process veggies for canning salsa Verde from the 'Ball Complete Book of Home Preserving'. I chopped up several pounds of green cherry tomatoes, and also green beefsteak tomatoes, and red onions with this. *IMPORTANT TIP: pre-slice anything you want to chop first, before putting it into the chopper. I cut my cherry tomatoes in half first green ones are a little firm so they went through a little more easily then over ripe ones, some pressure pushing down was still required. And I precut 1/4" slices of green beefsteak tomatoes, and made even thinner slices of red onions before chopping them with this device. The device saved me so much time when prepping veg for canning! The pre-slicing doesn't take long at all and is worth doing, otherwise you may break the device. I hope my Fullstar chopper will last me a long time. Oh yea, I use a long handled brush from the Dollar Tree to wash it with to keep my fingers far from the blades. Although I had thought I was being super careful, I barely touched a blade by accident and got a small cut, so use caution. ... show more

    • Super sharp - watch your fingers!

I have had a similar chopper for maybe 15 or more years. It held up beautifully but this one caught my eye and I thought since I upgraded my kitchen I could upgrade my chopper. There is a warning on it that says it's super sharp. I am an experienced cook. The other one I had worked very well but I had to press on it a little harder, even though this one does still require quite a bit of pressing for even a medium sliced red onion. However it is precise, and the warning was correct. It is sharp. Insanely sharp. Super, super sharp. Within 5 minutes even as careful as I was, I cut one finger and then while trying to wash it which I'm really not sure how I'm supposed to wash it without hurting myself, I sliced my other finger open. Haven't decided if I'm going to keep this. It's very nice, but it's definitely a concern. Plus, I like my fingers. It does what it says, even with the warning! So, if you're looking for something super sharp, this is it. ... show more
