• Homemade fries, yes please!
Size: 1/2'' Blade
The Sopito Professional Potato Cutter has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen gadgets, and for good reason – it makes homemade fries an absolute breeze! First and foremost, the build quality of this cutter is exceptional. Made from durable stainless steel, it feels sturdy and well-made, ensuring that it can handle even the toughest potatoes with ease. Plus, the blades are sharp and efficient, cutting through potatoes like butter and producing perfectly uniform fries every time. But what truly sets this potato cutter apart is its simplicity and ease of use. With just a few quick motions, I can turn a whole potato into a pile of evenly-sized fries in seconds. It's incredibly satisfying to watch, and it saves me so much time and effort compared to cutting fries by hand. And let's talk about the fries themselves – they're absolutely delicious! Because the Sopito cutter creates uniform fries, they cook evenly and come out crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Whether I'm baking them in the oven or frying them up in a pan, homemade fries have never tasted so good. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase of the Sopito Professional Potato Cutter. It's a game-changer for anyone who loves homemade fries (who doesn't?), and it's made mealtime prep a whole lot easier and more enjoyable. If you're a fan of crispy, golden fries, do yourself a favor and pick up one of these fantastic potato cutters. You won't be disappointed! ... show more

 • Fries!
Size: 1/2'' Blade
Omg! If only I bought this thing sooner! This is a game changer for cutting potatoes for fries. It has made my life so much easier and convenient. I am now spending less than 8 min cutting a while batch of potatoes and this is super easy to clean. The blades are extremely sharp and the opening for the potatoes is large enough to put a whole large russet. If I could add just 1 thing to it, it would be a little ramp that sends the slices away from the blades. Kind of like a little metal slide that could be used to direct the peices to a bowl or something. This item can be used to place on a wall, which I'm sure is the original design, or you can use it on the counter top. I use mine on the counter top next to the sink and I have a bowl in the sink to catch the cut potatoes....hence, the necessity of the slide. This is such a great buy, especially after I bought it on sale. Very happy. ... show more

 • "I'll take a side of fries with that."
Size: 1/2 Inch & 3/8 Inch
First, I want to thank fellow user Brandon for his review at <<https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/review/B09N366CB8/RJ6M6NFZMUDSO?ref_=cm_sw_r_apann_dprv_E9237EWPTQZ0EJ4ZV1P7>>. It gave me a better idea of what to expect. I have some physical limitations and based on other reviews would have thought this to be like a hot knife through butter. Having said that... EASE OF USE: This does require some strength to push it through. It was a little awkward for me at first, but after a couple of tries, got it through and it became easier. ASSEMBLY FOR USE: As for the assembly, putting it together is a cinch. Insert the round handle into the threaded end of the flat handle and tighten. Then, lay the device on its base (meaning the suction cup on the counter), pull the push mechanism all the way back, insert the flat handle with the bend pointing toward the blades, line up the holes in the handle with the holes in the mechanism, insert the screws, tighten them, and you're done. MANUFACTURING ASSEMBLY: For the unit itself, as one reviewer, Baby Mama (assuming it was Baby Papa in the video) noted in a video, it would be better if there were two suction cups, one on each end. I had some issues with it sliding on me while trying to push down to push the potato through. So, a suction cup on each end would be helpful, in my opinion. I just place a lightweight microfiber cloth under the other side where the blade is for helping stabilize that end. The overall unit is sturdy, and I don't feel like it's going to just pop apart while pushing down. It's relatively lightweight, comes with two different blades and corresponding pushers, which is great if you want to make different things (like French fries or zucchini fries). This makes it incredibly easier than cutting by hand, and more precise. Previously, I was using a mandoline for the slices, then using a slice to gage the width of the sticks for the fries and it just felt too laborious. This streamlines the entire thing and is safer than the mandoline. (While I am an experienced mandoline user, the SNL horror show always runs through my mind while using it for some reason.) One thing I did notice is this says it is designed for sweet potatoes, but I tried with a small piece of one instead of trying a whole one, since most potato cutters CANNOT properly cut them because of how tough they are. And this didn't seem to be able to do it, either. As I said, I have some physical strength issues, so maybe that is why, but I shouldn't need THAT much strength. OVERALL: I think this is a great product. It's at a reasonable price point for what you get. It's sturdy, relatively easy to use, and actually fulfills it's purpose. I'd definitely recommend it. But, I did have to take it down a star for, in my opinion, needing the second suction cup. Thank you Sopito. ... show more

I'm disabled, and this is STILL easy to use. Its clean, simple, design makes it versatile for both right and left handed cooks.

 • This device is awesome, but...
Size: 1/2 Inch & 3/8 Inch
I love my new French fry cutter. I love it a lot! That being said, the blades are VERY sharp!!!! I walked about 5 feet from the instrument, and somehow, it reached out and slashed my hand. Now it's tasted human blood and it wants more. Every morning, I wake up and my fry cutter has tried to walk to my bedroom. So far, the suction cup has mostley held it in check (thank Buddha or Yahweh, or whatever God is up there), but I fear the day that thing fails. Luckily, my bedroom is three flights of stairs above the kitchen, so there's some obstacles for it to get through, but I'm pretty sure it's learning. The first night, I found it on the step stool beside the counter. I put it back on the counter and moved the stool. The second night, I found it had made it's way across the counter to the sink, but fell in the sink. Whew! The third night, it was on the floor. Upsidedown, but on the floor. Now I store it locked in a box, upsidedown, in the pantry. But I can hear it at night. It's coming for me. I know it. We may have to move. ... show more
