Description

The Cry Baby Mini 535Q Wah provides the perfect balance of wah control and pedalboard-efficiency. Set the tonal character of your sound with the Range Selector, which allows you to choose one of the standard 535Q Wah’s four most popular sweep ranges. With the Q control, you can shape the wah’s response, from a narrow bandpass that emphasizes higher end harmonics to a wide bandpass that emphasizes lower end harmonics. If you want to bump yourself up to the front of the mix, just crank the Volume control and then kick the Boost switch to engage the level change. There’s a handy LED next to the Boost switch that lets you know when it’s active.

  • Excellent wah pedal
Nice wah pedal, versatile, saves al lot of space in your pedalboard, the boost button is an addition, not giving 5 stars because no led to show if pedal is on or off, only led available is for the booster and its keeps on even if the pedal is off, u have to switch the led off by pressing the booster button. A bit pricey compared to the mini 95 but worth it. The pedal is well built, functions very well, good sounds. Highly recommend ... show more

  • Classic sound, tiny footprint, versatile control
Regarding the controls for adapting the sound, there’s two dials to change the intensity and sweep range of the pedal, and another switch to change frequencies, I guess, like changing the position of the sweep. A fourth control for a boost, which I guess if you were using as a lead guitarist, and punching the pedal to boost above the other players would be handy. I’m just using primarily as an eq pedal, and secondly for the classic wah. I use the wah with a loop station and so the eq functionality lets me mix the sounds as they are being created. It’s Dunlop, so you know its bullet proof. ... show more

  • I Like Wah I'm Hearing!
This is the 3rd wah I've ever had, and second in the Dunlop Cry Baby line. I dig it! What I like the most, which I guess their regular mini does as well, is it takes up less than half the space of my previous full size wah. Sounds great too!

  • Forget the signature wahs.. This is all you need...
This wah is basically, the Slash, the Cantrell, the EVH, the Hammett, the Dime, the classic all rolled into one. It has the 4 way frequency switch, it has the built in overdrive, it has the EQ knob - to buy 1 wah when this thing can literally do the sound of every single wah that Dunlop makes - well you figure out which "one" you should buy. This thing is amazing. ... show more

  • Great sound; few things could be better
The sound is great and it seems to be durable. Being able to adjust the Q and the frequency range make this pedal very versatile. Also it feels very nice to use. I really like the small format. With shoes, the feel is very similar to a full-size wah. Without shoes, it's still easy to maneuver but I can't rock back and forth quite as fast as with shoes or with a full-size wah. For me, that's not a big deal, and the small form factor makes it totally worth it anyways. Another reviewer said it was noisy. That's not true. Chances are that any noise would be caused by a poor power supply or by the guitar itself. Since wah pedals emphasize particular frequencies, any noise at those frequencies will also be boosted. That's just how it goes. However there are two issues that are problematic for me. First is that although the volume is adjustable, there is no way to turn the volume down to 0; the volume knob is strictly for the boost circuit, and adjusts the volume from non-boosted to fully boosted. I really wanted to be able to turn the wah down to prevent my amp from distorting when using it. The other issue is that the LED indicates whether the boost circuit is on or off, not whether the wah is engaged. Kinda silly because you engage the boost switch with your hand, not your foot. Realistically, you'll be turning the boost on or off and leaving it that way, so you don't really need an indicator for that. By contrast, one of the most popular mods to wah pedals is adding an indicator LED so that you can't tell when they're engaged. Not sure why you'd include an indicator for the boost but not the overall wah. ... show more
