  • Really good for the price
Color: Ender 3 V3 SE
I bought this 3D printer during Prime Days about a month ago for around $170, and it has been an amazing purchase. Since then, I’ve printed countless items and have been thoroughly impressed with its performance. The assembly process was straightforward, making it beginner-friendly, and printing with it has been incredibly easy. The quality of the prints is outstanding, and maintaining the printer has been simple—even when minor issues come up. Overall, I’m extremely happy with this printer and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and user-friendly 3D printer, whether you're a beginner or experienced. ... show more

  • Fast, Accurate, Easy
Color: K1 SE
The Creality K1, K1C, and this K1 SE Early essentially the same printer with some minor differences. This is by far the best 3D printer I've ever owned and has been a breeze to print with. I can get it connected wirelessly and manage all my prints from my devices. I opted to also purchase the add-on camera which I will install later. Prints are fast, the adhesion has been great, and The quality of the printed objects has been phenomenal, the supports have also been really easy to remove. My only complaint is that the printer is silent when you turn it on, but after it finishes a print, there is a fan inside the machine that never shuts off and can get a little irritating. Also, since coming from an Elegoo printer, I miss the direct extrusion and the creality machine is a pain to load and unload. It wastes far too much filament getting it out of the tubing. All in all, this barebones system saves me $200 on what is essentially the same printer as the K1C. I won't be able to print carbon fiber, but that's a non-issue for me personally. This thing really was plug and play right out of the box. ... show more

  • No Tech Support
Color: Ender 3 V3 SE
So what do you think someone new to a 3-D printer is apt to need the most of? Right.. tech support! And while the company that makes this one touts that they have plenty it just isn't true. What they have is spotty tech support in the middle of the night that they close at any time they wish and open any time they wish and if anyone gets the chance to read this I would say to you at Amazon that this aspect of a product like this is just as important as any other. If you publish this you would be doing users a great service. Now back to the review. The printer itself is not half bad. I has some bells and whistles that you might like and some are not present but the ones listed with it on the product page are certainly worth considering. Unfortunately I was not afforded the opportunity to test any since I was not able to make use of their tech support. If you buy one you may have a different experience. But one more warning before you buy this. Go on Google and type in the line "Is Creality Tech Support any good" and the most common answer you will see is "what tech support". Do that with a company such as Elegoo and you'll get a different response. ... show more

  • Perfect for beginners who want more print room
I'm 100% new to 3d printing. I heard about it in like 2014, saw the prices of printers and immediately dismissed it as a "rich thing for rich people" (dropping 2-3k on a machine that made really poor looking 3d prints wasn't feasible for a college student). I looked at it on a complete whim recently and was shocked to see printers going for this cheap with filament around $20 a roll. I really was setting sights on an Ender 3. Everyone said it's just a great starter one to have. However I saw someone say "if you have a bit more money, just go with a CR-10). I liked a lot that had too, but ultimately didn't see the point when the CR10s had the filament runout detection and power restart function. I haven't tried the latter, the first I have seen work. To anyone having issues, let me explain my problems and how I solved them. Instructions not clear? Watch numerous videos on youtube on setting it up. Don't follow one guy. See what like 3 or 4 people have to say about how to get the printer built in the first place. What should you print first? Bed alignment squares from thingiverse. That site will quickly become a favorite of yours and any of those options are great. There's a 6 minute video on youtube that shows how you can use that test to tell if you need to lower/raise your bed and which corner needs it. Print not sticking? This was a killer for me. I nearly returned it because I couldn't get anything to stick. So this is a tricky one. The glass surface that comes with nearly all printers is warped. Go to a hardware store and get a box of 12"x12" mirror tiles (I got 6 for like $10 at lowes). Get a bottle of 99.9% isopropyl alcohol. This clears the print surface absolutely of any oils from your hands and any debris. I got a cheap little spritz bottle, remove the glass bed, and just spray it down then wipe with a paper towel. It works great. That works for basic small scale prints. The best luck (that I've printed larger things with) is outright Aqua Net hair spray. I have a separate small box with a bit of padding from the printer, I remove the bed, and spray it down with 3-4 layers of Aqua Net. After it's dry (about 5 minutes) I remove it and put it on the heating bed. That's gotten my best results. When it's done printing, take the heated glass bed (with print still attached) off and just set it on a cool (NOT cold) surface and it'll come off after a good few minutes. I've got the bed leveled, what should I print now? Calibration cube. Make sure the X Y and Z are perfect. After that, give Benchy a try. What are my settings? I have great luck with a bed temp of 45-50 (50 typically). I set my base print temp at 210 and every other layer at 205. There are tests to see what temp your filament works best on, and all filaments aren't equal. So take it with a grain of salt. Those are just my "I want this thing printed and I'm not in it for perfection" settings. Slight bit of stringiness? Get an exacto knife and remove it. Couple bumps and very slight uneven edge (or sharper edge)? Dollar tree sandpaper pack, you get a lot of high grits (which is what you want) and just take it off. 3D printing is a fun art hobby. This is something you don't rush. It's easy to get into, but there's so much to learn with nozzles, print temps, speeds, fills, supports...it's a lot to master. It's just complex. This printer does great work and has a huge surface that I wanted (you can get upgrade kits for the ender 3, but one to fit this size cost about as much as this and require more work). ... show more

  • Great printer, broke a little faster than expected
Color: Ender 3 V3 SE
I had the ender 3 v1 for about 3 years. It had its issues here and there but nothing major. only ever had to replace the hot end, which is fairly common. Upgraded to this 4 months ago. worked fantastic straight out of the box, prints so much faster than the other one. Great quality too. Sadly one of the motor cables just broke , just straight up stopped working in the middle of a print. I really had much higher expectations for it to hold up a lot better than the v1. Its not one of those issues you can fix yourself in an hour or just go to amazon to buy a quick part. Took awhile to diagnose it, but once I figured out the issue, I contacted creality and they immediately sent the replacement part. The replacement part isn't available anywhere online, so if i didn't have the warranty, I wouldn't have been able to get the replacement, which is concerning. Overall good printer. ... show more
