This is my second printer after some bad experience with a first-generation product some years ago. I researched it thoroughly as I need it for some precision printing of engineering parts. This printer is of excellent design, afford is made where its important. The encapsulation seems a bit flimsy and cumbersome at first sight, but just a strip of duct tape along the top seam between back and front cover turns it into a hinge that makes it super easy to flip the front cover on top of the back cover. The guides, spindle and spindle drive are very precise and stiff, which is important for such a big printing envelope. The LED's seem not as strong as newest models, so the printing is a bit slower. I added a magnetic plate, but had to machine off about 2mm from plate fixture to provide more clearance. I added also a heater which keeps the temperature high and steady for reduced resin viscosity and uniform printing. And I attached a thermocouple to a central frame element in the bottom projector housing to monitor temperature there too. I keep it steady with blocking/releasing cooling air flow and when its really cold in my workshop I turn on a heating pad underneath an 3/8" aluminum plate on which the printer is standing. I also like that I can copy the slice files onto internal storage of the printer. Another really cool feature is that I can adjust all major printing parameters while its printing. The media could not be loaded. I was so excited to get this but man it turned into a nightmare! My first print the auto feed just kept pouring and flooded the machine damaging parts! My LCD front touch screen went out first I contacted them they sent a replacement. I put it in and then I started having usb connection issues. I check it for moisture or resin had bad solder and is loose. Still works just have to mess with it to get it to recognize usb stick. Now Jan 8 2024 my LCD screen went out it's flicking like crazy with lines and just prints large squares half cured so now I have to buy a LCD replacent another 209$ this isn't counting the amount of department and screen protectors and resin I've gone through cuz of these issues I ordered a phrozen and the uniformation mk2 hopefully I'll have better luck but as it stands right now any cubic is a no for me and it's a shame I loved the size and idea of this machine ... show more

***Update 6.10.23*** Anycubic made good and replaced my LCD screen and Auto-filler after reaching out and discussing the situation with me. I'm glad they got a rep who understood the situation and wanted to remedy this, however I don't think it should have taken this review to get them to do right. Updated from 1 to 4 stars. *************************************************************************************************************************** Let me start by saying that at it's base, it's a good 3d printer..it does the job, nice large print bed and fast. ....that being said there are some glaring issues that I've had, i'll explain: 1. Auto-fill - I've had 2 issues with the auto-fill function. The first was a week out of the box. A hardware failure that caused the pump to stay on after the resin bottle was empty. Anycubic sent a replacement without any fuss. The second now 8 months in, the Auto-fill wouldn't shut off and caused resin to overfill the plate, which caused resin to leak onto the printer/screen....this is where I have had issues with tech support. 2. Technical support - After the 2nd pump failure, which caused the tank to overfill and spill resin onto the printer, it started a cascading failure...resin leaked under the protective seal due to failure (which on my printer appears to be electrical tape and I believe they've changed to a form of silicon) and got UNDER the lcd screen. I contacted technical support, explained the situation in detail, and provided the picture attached. Anycubic's response was that the LCD is only covered for 3 months and that I need to purchase a new one. They refuse to warranty out the screen that was only damaged due to other hardware failure(s) that caused the damage. I'm genuinely disappointed by their decision, i've heard nothing but good things about Anycubic and chose them over Elegoo...I'm starting to regret this decision. Now I have to spend another 200+ dollars to get a replacement screen because their hardware failed.... ... show more

This thing is massive for a resin printer, like... Very big. You can drain a whole bottle of resin on a big print if you don't hollow it out and use all the space, which is honestly pretty awesome. Being able to print very big models is a huge boon, especially for large statuettes, big Warhammer figurine kitbashing parts, and things that you dont really want to have to separate into multiple parts and have seams to worry about. This thing is even big enough that it's suitable for cosplay items. The quality is excellent too, really top notch once you get the settings dialed in. The Amazon warehouse, in their "infinite wisdom", decided to send me a used unit, but anycubic support picked up the slack immediately, sending out parts to replace what the other user had damaged and returned, and generally making for a pleasant experience from what would have been very disappointing otherwise. Knowing that Anycubic has our back is really a nice feeling, and comforting when a lot of the companies out there are just looking to get a sale and leave us to the wolves. ... show more
