    • 2nd Creality printer I've owned. 2nd dead inside 6 months. Tech support fails.
This is my 2nd Creality printer. First one died inside 6 months and their tech support just stopped communicating with me after there was no easy fix. So I bought the top end unit, thinking it would be better. 45 days in, the UV light becomes extremely weak and the printer no longer cures resin. The Mage-Pro printer is a great upgrade vs the Halot Lite that I previously owned. The prints are very detailed and very high quality. You can not get this high of a resolution with a standard filament 3D printer. The slicer software works well after a few updates and learning curve. The printer's charcoal filter reduces the resin smell quite well. There is still a smell but it's much more faint. I did have a mishap with the nozzle filling pump and the nozzle broke off on the second print. Thankfully, I can print a new one. Overall a great resin printer. ... show more

    • Basically a pro level printer at basic price.
I just got into 3D printing a little over a year ago and started with a filament printer (Creality). Within 6 months I had another one. Then I picked up my first resin printer. Now I have three of those as well. I find myself using the resin more and more for my "everyday" prints - the variety of materials/resins are a rival for filament models. Clear, flexible, super-strong, high heat and more. Yes, there's more post-processing involved - but once you invest in all the curing and cleaning stuff for one printer, you can use it for multiple printers. I have Mage and now a Mage-Pro as well. The large print area is amazing, the internal filtration eliminates odors/fumes, the build quality is amazing. Networking in a breeze. It's also BIG. You need around an 12" square footprint and 30" of height. The cover pivots up - so this takes headroom. I have mine on a commercial shelving unit, printers on one shelf, cleaning and curing station on a shelf next to it. It's enclosed with that corrugated plastic to keep fumes under control. Water wash and typical resins are fine, but even this model has trouble with the really stinky plant based stuff fumes. Print quality is exceptional, and there's a bit of a learning curve. The printer incudes a 1 year subscription to Chitubox Pro (nice!) and currently a year of Creality Cloud premium - as far as I know that's good until Dec. 2023. Well worth it!!! ... show more

Upon first arriving, my first observation on this printer was how big the box is. It is much larger than my other Halot printer. Upon opening the box and taking out the printer, this is certainly confirmed. It is much larger than my other printer. With a resin printer, that doesn't only correlate to larger prints, as it does with an fdm printer, it also correlates to more throughput, because even if you are printing smaller items that don't fill the whole build plate, it doesn't take any more time to print 20 of them than it does 1. What it does mean though, is you do need to make sure you have room for it. I forgot to take pictures of taking it out of the box, but unlike an fdm printer, there isn't much to it. Like any Creality printer I have ever opened, this was EXTREMELY well protected in the box. Setup also couldn't really get much easier. Lift it out of the box Remove packing material Plug it in There was a little piece of plastic inside the vat on the back left hand corner. Remove that too. Turn it on Plug in the included flash drive Select a model Add enough resin to the printer for the model Start the print It is really that easy I did check the level, but I didn't actually have to level anything. It was already level out of the box. My first print, I also used a water washable resin. It was my first time to use it. I didn't change any settings for it and it just worked. It was strongly adhered to the build plate for printing, but was easily removed once it was finished. So, it is really hard to imagine that any setup, for any printer, could be much easier. Now this printer has some other cool features that I didn't really setup yet, because I need to clear a space for it where it is going to live permanently before I do. It can add and remove resin to the vat on its own. That is very cool. It comes with an exhaust vent, so you can actually vent it through a wall or out a window. Actually with the cover closed, I could barely smell anything, but I think that in part may have also been partly due to the water washable resin I was using. I did also set up the wifi and my creality cloud account, as it has built in wifi so you can send prints to it directly. It also has a flip top cover, which is handy, because you don't need to always be looking for a place to put the cover when you take it off. This actually makes it take up less space, even though it is larger, because you don't need an area to hold the cover. I really wish I could say more about this printer, but it is so easy to set up, I can't really say much about it, because I just took it out of the box. It prints very well, but I can't really say much about that either, because I didn't have to do anything to make it print well, it just did. I pushed a button, yay me. It has great features that all work well. Not sure there is much more I can say. If you have any aspirations to print with resin, which is a completely different conversation as to whether you should or not, I definitely recommend it. ... show more
