Frequently asked questions

The Craftsman 3200 PSI Gas Pressure Washer requires unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. It's important to use fresh, clean fuel and avoid using fuel that has been contaminated with water or debris. Ethanol blends higher than E10 (10% ethanol) should not be used.

While the Craftsman 3200 PSI Pressure Washer is designed with robust features and capabilities, it is primarily categorized for residential use. Its durability and performance can handle a wide variety of cleaning tasks around the house, but for continuous, heavy-duty commercial usage, a commercial-grade pressure washer might be more suitable.

The Craftsman 3200 PSI Pressure Washer is versatile and can be used to clean many surfaces, including driveways, sidewalks, patios, siding, decks, cars, and outdoor furniture. It's important to adjust the pressure setting and choose the appropriate nozzle to prevent damage to more delicate surfaces.

Maintaining your Craftsman 3200 PSI Pressure Washer involves regular checks for oil and fuel levels, ensuring the air filter is clean, and running water through the pump after each use to clear any detergent. For storage, drain all water from the system, run the engine to clear remaining water in the pump, change the oil if necessary, and store in a dry, frost-free environment to prevent damage.

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The reviews for this pressure washer show a mixed bag of experiences, highlighting its power and ease of use for those who received a fully functional unit. However, there are significant concerns regarding quality control, with reports of units arriving damaged, having operational issues straight out of the box, or failing prematurely. The variability in customer satisfaction points to potential gambles with product consistency.

Pros

  • 👍 Starts easily and operates as expected when functional
  • 👌 Great product for the price, offering good value when working correctly
  • 🌟 Adequate pressure for various cleaning tasks, proving its effectiveness on surfaces like decks
  • 🛠 Some users report exceptional customer service in terms of repair and warranty fulfillment

Cons

  • ❌ Quality control issues with several units arriving damaged or malfunctioning
  • 🔧 Difficult assembly and inadequate instructions for some users, particularly regarding seasonal maintenance
  • ⏳ Potential for early failure, with reports of leaks and pressure issues within a year of purchase
  • 🚫 Inconsistent customer service experiences, making the resolution of issues a challenge for some

Should I Buy It?

If you're willing to take a chance on potentially needing to address initial hiccups or navigate customer service for repairs, this pressure washer could be a decent value for its price. However, if consistent quality and reliability from the start are non-negotiable for you, it might be wise to consider other products with more consistently positive reviews.

  • No Pressure
Size: 3400 PSI Style: 5 Quick-Connect Nozzles, Briggs & St...
Don't know why I can't get any pressure? Bought the 3400 PSI Craftsman pressure washer and assembled it following the instructions closely. The engine starts and runs as it should, but the water pressure does not change. The input water pressure is good because I can fill a 5 gallon bucket in less than a minute. Water flows throughout the system (out the high pressure wand) but at no greater pressure than the input water pressure (flow rate stays the same whether engine running or off). So far this brand new unit has never worked! UPDATE: WOW Craftsman! Thank you! It was difficult to find a repair shop but I found one 21 miles away and left the unit there for warranty work. The final verdict was (although connected to water source before starting) all the air was not purged from the pump, and some internal seals became unseated. Before starting, the trigger should be held open for at least a minute (maybe more) to ensure all air pockets have been vacated. Despite this being possibly my fault Craftsman still paid for the repair as a courtesy! ... show more

  • Hard to start
Size: 3200 PSI Style: 5 Quick-Connect Nozzles, Briggs & St...
It difficult to get started. When I opened the box the spare bottle of oil was ruptured and was all over the pressure washer. They have a hook to hang the hose on but it pretty much useless.

  • GARBAGE PLUS TERRIBLE WARRANTY WITH BRIGS N STRATTON
Size: 3200 PSI Style: 5 Quick-Connect Nozzles, Briggs & St...
Had this for not even a year , pump always had issues kicking in... Eleven months and change engine oil leaking into water pump assembly making horrible noise and leaking engine oil all over my side walk. (Unit not operational) Called BRIGS N STRATTON multiple times first day. I was given 8 places that service this unit.. I called every repair shop and they pretty much all laughed about Craftsman/BRIGS warranty work .. Not one of them will touch it.. After speaking with a supervisor from Briggs and Stratton for 3 weeks .. she finally got back to me with a repair shop 45 minutes away.. I'm now 1.5 mths into this with multiple emails.. etc .. Needless to say I contacted Amazon and explained the horrible service and warranty.. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS UNIT TO ANYONE! GARBAGE and wouldn't pay $100.00 ... show more

  • Defective trash - Unreliable Shipping - Useless Customer Service.
Size: 3400 PSI Style: 5 Quick-Connect Nozzles, Briggs & St...
The first unit came repackaged in a beat-up box, and retaped several times. Broken accessory tray, crushed siphon hose, bent frame with broken end cap and a hole rubbed in the main hose. It was dirty and obviously used; NOT new. Called number provided and after being transferred through several departments was told by a Craftsman rep, it wasn’t their problem. They agreed it was likely a used machine, a warehouse problem or even shipping. Absolutely NO help from Craftsman. They said it was NOT a warranty issue. Amazon; however, shipped out another unit (same model) the same day. FIVE STARS to Amazon!! Second unit came covered in oil (probably shipped upside down), missing parts and would only produce about a tenth of the advertised psi. I worked on the machine for hours and couldn’t resolve they problem myself. MORAL of the STORY! You may get lucky and get a good unit, but if you’re a ‘roll the dice’ kinda guy this piece of trash may be right up your alley. I will have no choice but to escalate the problem with Amazon again. Just give me my money back, please! ... show more

  • Excellent Pressure, Not hard to use.
Size: 3100 PSI Style: 5 Quick-Connect Nozzles, Honda 187cc Engine
This Pressure washer is fairly easy to set up, but the instructions are very poorly done, and they don't have anything in them in regards to preparing this for cold weather! (YOU MUST REMOVE ALL WATER FROM THIS IN THE WINTER MONTHS) Took me about an hour to put together. The plastic holders for the nozzles, and the hoses are pretty much useless. The pressure is adequate depending on how close you get the nozzle to the target. To remove old paint from my deck, I had the nozzle about 2 - 4 inches from the surface and it worked fine, and if you are not careful it can, and will remove some of the wood!! This tool must be used with CAUTION!! Practice on something you don't mind damaging first!!! This is a decent pressure washer, and even with the problems with the hose rack I do recommend this product. ... show more
