I'm suddenly cooking for one and after a few months sandwiches or a TV dinner isn't working. Cooking for two worked as we usually had leftovers for supper the next day. Only me? The same thing for three more days? I'm a decent cook but, Pass. This machine is just right for a few frozen french fries. Say, between a small and medium order at What-A-Burger. When it's time to shake the fries, add four or five pre-breaded butterflied shrimp. Then shake again when the shrimp are half done. Supper is ready in about 15 minutes. I'm still figuring how to cook two Gorton's fish fillets along with french fries so they are not mushy. I'll get there. Practice! It's not a high power machine. It's 900 watts, not 1500 watts. When the food directions say "8 to 11 minutes", eleven minutes is the number for me. It's very easy to clean. Hot water with a little squirt of dish soap and half a paper towel as a dish rag is all you need. It's a very quiet machine. The settings are easy. If you can work a Smartphone, you've got this. It's not a kitchen counter hog, it fits easily in a 10" skillet. Think of it as a small counter top oven. I have no idea how well it will cook a chicken breast or thigh. I'm sure it does a great job. I have a gas grill on the patio for grilling. My only small complaint is that I would like a handle on the back as part of a cord storage system. So I could carry the machine across the kitchen with one hand. Nice machine. Works great. Good price. A two year warranty says a lot to me. ... show more

This air fryer is absolutely wonderful. It works extremely well. Highly recommended by Consumer Reports.org, It cooks the food beautifully. It allows me better portion control cause it's small and will allow me to lose weight as a result, but also be more healthier in my cooking cause it doesn't require any oil and any oil in the food seeps out to the bottom away from the food. My potatoes, bacon, plantains, beef, chicken, etc. come out so much better than on the stove or oven. Cooks evenly and make food crispy too. Easy to clean and is very quiet. Cooks fast too. This air fryer is exactly as advertised. It works well and quickly, clean up is super easy, and it beats heating up the oven for one or two servings of something like roasted vegetables. If you're looking for something that can make multiple servings at once, this isn't for you, but it's perfect for one or two people. So far I've used it mainly for roasting vegetables, for which it works quite well. I've also used it to bake frozen biscuits, to heat up and cook frozen fish, and to heat up and brown frozen samosas. With preheating, I'm done in under 20 minutes. It's taken a little trial and error to find the exact time and temperature I want to use for different items, but that's been easy enough to do. I want more information about cooking specific items than the brochure gives, but there are quite a few options on the internet if you're wondering about a particular item or recipe. Next experiment will be homemade goat cheese fritters. Clean up is simple: let it cool, put some hot soapy water in the basket with the grid, wash and rinse. The inner surfaces are non-stick so they clean quite easily. It can also go in the dishwasher but it's easier for me to just hand wash it and put it back in the air fryer. I've only used the air fryer mode and the bake mode. I haven't tried reheat or roast. It takes up a relatively small amount of counter space, which is important to me because my counter space is limited. It has a roughly 8" by 7.5" footprint. The cost was great, about $25. Safety issue: please note that you have to either put this where it has at least 5" air circulation on all sides and on top, or be able to pull it out to a position where it has that. I do the latter and then just push it back into its space on the back of the counter when I'm done. I also don't leave it plugged in when I'm not using it, but I don't believe that was in the safety instructions. It's just my preference. This is a perfect little air fryer for small spaces. My daughter has it in her college apartment and uses it almost daily. 6 months of constant use and it’s still going strong so it seems to be durable. The basket is pretty small but that’s to be expected because this air fryer is meant to be smaller. It’s easy to use but there wasn’t any kind of booklet included to decipher cooking time/temp for things so that’s the reason for 4 stars. ... show more
