I had no idea a small, hand-held vacuum even existed until I saw the PoolMr Cordless Handheld Pool Vacuum. SO glad I found it! I have a Polaris cleaner for my pool which does a great job, but when my hot tub is cluttered with leaves (thanks neighbor) it's always a pain to drag the Polaris out of the pool and put it in the hot tub for a quick clean. The vacuum is made very well and comes with several accessories to make your cleaning project easy. The fact that it's rechargeable is such a bonus in my opinion. Easy to charge (just make sure you seal the port before using). The pole is telescopic giving you an extension of 2.9 ft and all the way to 5.8 ft.; this is perfect for my hot tub. All of the accessories effortlessly lock into the vacuum and stay in securely the whole time. The rectangular brush head is nice and moves smoothly on the floor of my hot tub and also is flexible in it's left and right movements; however, I find that using the vacuum without the rectangular brush head is the best option for getting leaves (at least for me). I did use the brush head for my landing in the pool and that worked out nicely. I wasn't expecting much as far as its suction, but was pleasantly surprised at how much it picked up during a quick run through of my hot tub. It got all of the leaves and small twigs, so that is a win in my book. Emptying the vacuum couldn't be easier: unlock, take the filter compartment out, open the lid, dump your contents. You can also take the filter completely out of the unit and spray wash as well. Putting it back in is just as easy. From here on out, I'll be grabbing my PoolMr Cordless Handheld Pool Vacuum instead of the Polaris to clean my hot tub because it's SO easy. This is the perfect addition to my hot tub and I highly recommend it. ... show more

We have had a pool for 17 years and I never knew anything like this existed. We have a Polaris and also a “vacuum” that hooks up to our filters but that is cumbersome to use. This product is terrific for smaller areas. Couldn’t be easier to assemble and use. The suction is more than you would think, although it is a smaller product than our other vacuums, so it would take forever to clean a large, dirty pool. For smaller areas, or quick maintenance of a fairly clean pool, it’s great. We got rid of our hot tub last year, but this would have been perfect for that as well. I was a little skeptical when we got this but I anticipate that we will use this more frequently this summer than our other options. I think the $119 price is very fair.     • Stick vac for the pool. Convenient for small jobs
The thing to keep in mind with this is that the large head is only 12 inches wide, and the suction hole is about 1.25 inches x 2 inches. So this just for small areas - stairs, corners, and spot cleaning. It would take forever to do a large area with this. But it's clever, convenient, and was more suction than I had expected. Don't turn it on until submerged, because the motor could burn out. But once under water, it is actually enough power to pick up algae, leaves (even whole leaves if they're wet), sand, even pebbles. It comes with a pretty heavy duty pole, which is nice. It's a short pole, about 5.5 feet, but you can attach it to your normal pool poles for the deep end. There is no assembly required. The only thing to maintain (besides the battery) is the filter. The filter is rinseable, but it's a fine mesh, gets dirty fast, and is not fun to clean. I put a skimmer sock over the filter, to make cleaning easier. And it's a good overall value compared to comparable items. I do wish it came with a storage bag for the plug and other adapters/attachments. ... show more

This is really nice handheld vacuum. I was using one before but the charge dont last really long. Plus this has a power suction.

I like that it's cordless and not corded...I never feel safe putting a 120v power cord in the pool. Really, this works and is used just like a cordless stick vac for the house. Only you're under water, obviously. One thing of note - the more stuff you get in the collection bin thingy, the less suction you have. It works better if you empty it when it's about 1/2 full. And yes, it has an extension pole, but it's kind of fun to hop in the pool and vacuum it that way, lol. 5 stars. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This vacuum is very easy to use. Just attach the head to the handle, turn it on, and start vacuuming. It's made cleaning my above ground pool so much easier and faster. The suction is powerful, and it does a great job of picking up leaves, dirt, and other debris. The battery life is also very good, and I can usually get about an hour of cleaning time out of it before I need to recharge it. ... show more
