It is literally so easy to use that a 12 year old can do it in less than 5 minutes and wakes up with beautiful curls. She has thick hair that is a few inches from her back side. She does have naturally wavy hair to begin with so I'm not sure if that matters. When she uses this she has nice bouncy curls in the morning. Maybe I’m just not getting the hang of how to use this, but it has been all over TikTok and it stays in for maybe a couple hours at night, but then always falls out partially through the night. I wrap it tight, so I am not sure what the problem is. But it was on sale for a great deal so it was worth a try. I also have Pretty long hair, so maybe that could be the problem! My hair is much more welcoming to heatless curls than heat, so when I heard of the product I had to try! My hair is long (down to my waist/hips) and is probably a medium thickness. It took a few tries, but I've found the best way to braid my hair around this product for beautiful results! For me, partly wet hair/mostly dry overnight wear has resulted in the best, and using two strands of hair french braiding it with the rod as the third piece. As tight and up high has given me a more ringlet curl that softens throughout the day! ... show more

I have long thick dark hair. I just looked up a tutorial on Youtube and I followed what the woman was saying. I didn't sleep in them yet, I just tried it out for funsies in the afternoon and took it out at night just to test it out and it worked! Definitely recommend.

I bought this and another brand to test out which ones would work better. Unfortunately, they came in right before I had to leave town for a month long trip and when I came back and finally had a chance to test them, I was outside of the return window, so now I'm stuck with them. The satin seems fine enough, but the shape & hold from this product is not good. I've tried it with both damp hair and dry hair. My biggest problem with the item is if you don't keep it clipped in, the rod moves around a lot which then messes with the integrity of the curls it's trying to create. If you leave the clip in at the top, then it creates a big ol' lump / kink at the top of your head. The rod with the other curler I bought stays in place without a clip, which is why I know it's a manufacturing defect of this brand. Because the rod moves frequently, the curls aren't as good as the other brand I bought. They tend to be very weak in the back, which can be expected, but not to the extent where the "curls" in the back just end up being big kinks in my hair. I'm super frustrated / sad that Amazon couldn't do anything to help me return this product. ... show more

I like these they were cheap and good. I use them for a bouncy blowout look so I would recommend to not rabbit that tight into push the hair tie up the thing to make the curls more bouncy is a good product for a good price if you want to lose a curl, maybe get a bigger One but OK
