I've been thinking of getting a solo stove, but don't like the price. Price. I feel they are overpriced for what you get. I bought this when they were few reviews but it was a good price. I have only used it once but it worked great! Fires are relatively easy to start if you know what you're doing, and it burns really hot. Is that there's no option for a heat shield to mount above the fire pit and I thought it wouldn't generate enough heat outward. Although it sends a lot of heat straight up, it's still generated plenty of heat towards the people sitting around it. Why buy the expensive brand when you can get this one? Looks the same and works just as good. RV/camping can get expensive, save some money and buy this one instead of the expensive brand. We have used ours a handful of time and love it - smokeless, looks great and stores great for RVing.

We wanted a small firepit, but didn't want to spend more than $500 on the name brand competitor. Thus far, it has worked great after a few uses. It is turning a bit of a color, but, seriously, that isn't a deal breaker at this price point. Arrived in 2days and was easy to set up. Only had one fire so far and the outside of the barrel discolored, but I guess that is to be expected, since it’s extremely hot. Also not smokeless, but the smoke goes straight up, so not an issue. Inviting ten friends over tonight to enjoy a fire with us.
