  • Great Customer Appreciation, long review but I learned a lot.
Over all I am truly grateful for the companies integrity for quality and service to their customers, they could have never responded or never replaced the board. I bought this board around the 3rd week of June 2021, I had never owned an inflatable paddle board prior and only been on hard boards. When I received it I pumped it up and it was fine, when I took it out onto the water it started leaking immediately (like i thought the water hurt it) after google, youtube and asking people in the SUP groups online everyone suggested that I tighten the valve with the plastic tightener that it came with. When I did this the tightener broke and so did 1 of the arms inside the valve area. At this point I'm very frustrated because I genuinely just wanted to be on the water I didn't care what it looked like I just wanted to SUP and feel safe. (yellow markings are indicator of space between the valve and the black seal, its kind of hard to see with all the epoxy layered on it and last pic shows the space difference from 1st board and 2nd board) Once inflated I did the test soap and water test where you put a little bit of soap in a cup of water and poor it on the board to see where the leak is coming from. Well It was coming from all around the valve where I have the yellow markings. I tried at least 4 different glues, resin and epoxy all marine and over 3k PSI (1 worked out of the 4 SOLAREZ UV Cure Epoxy) I bought 1 of them for almost $60 from a military store that was for rafts. The issue I was running into was that I did not have a layered on patch for the area as I need to inflate the board. Once I found the epoxy that worked without a layered patch I could still hear air coming out of it.... So I did the soap and water test again, now it was coming out of the string hole that is meant to keep the cap attached to the board, and leaking on the outside of the black seal that touches the blue part of the board. HOW is this possible IDK. So I cut the string and laid epoxy over it while covering the entire black seal out to the board area. And it work! it was not very pretty and by this time the black mat started lifting honestly I didn't even care about it because I just wanted to float. This held up for about 3 paddles and on the 3rd paddle the valve from inside where you push to inflate or deflate started leaking. Now what.......😭 So I reached out to the company who 1. Responded very quickly 2. Was nothing but understanding and eager to help fix the issue. 3. followed through with their promise. (a lot of companies do not try to even resolve the issue so I'm very grateful) And yes, I could have returned the board when I first received it but at the time I didn't know how they were supposed to look, I didn't know that the valve was defected from the start and the placing was never supposed to have that amount of space between the valve and the black seal. I just wanted to be out on the water, I've waited 4 years to invest the money to get one and I was willing to make anything work. The company sent me a new board it arrived in 7 days and it was a world difference! first off I did not need to pump as much 😂 apparently pumping a leaking board is 2x the work. The seal was tight and placed properly and I have not had any issues with the mat lifting. I have taken the 2nd board out 3 times now (I wanted to make sure it was really working before I left a review) and it is hold all the air in I am not seeing any lifting along the seams on the side of the board (board 1 did have lifting seams but I had bigger issues at the time) I am loving this board it is so light in comparison to other boards, I do a lot of river paddling and have to portage my board over different areas to get to the other side of waterfalls or just smaller rock formations. With the Bungee ties at the front Im able to pack a lunch ,water and my portal speaker which makes a great SUP day trip for me! ... show more

  • There's a learning curve
Lens Color: 10.6' Orange
I've never supped before. Went out on the bay today, it was mostly flat and a light breeze. I fell off a few times, never got on my feet but I was able to get all the way up on my knees. I plan on putting a beach chair on it to use as a kayak, but figured I'd give standing a try. Didn't bring a chair though so that remains to be seen on balance issues. Maybe I'll outrig some catamaran floats as training wheels, especially if I try to use it in the winter. Anyway I guess that doesn't pertain to the product, so here we go: The pump is so much better than the little one I got with my inflatable kayak! When I read it was a two way pump, I thought that meant it inflated on the up and down stroke. I'm still not sure if it does, but one side sucks and one side blows, so you can use it to get the air out when you're done. Pumping didn't take too long, maybe ten minutes. The pressure gauge didn't work though, but I stood on it when it looked full, and it felt very solid. For deflating I pressed the button in the inflation hole to release the higher pressure, then I removed the hose from the pump and screwed it into the hole on the board, and rolled the board up to squeeze the air out. I didn't end up using the pump to suck every last bit out, and it still fit right back into it's bag, which I cannot say for my kayak. The board was great, felt very solid. I might not have been centered correctly because it was hard to go straight at times, though one time I must have been cooking as I was so focused on balancing I looked up and realized I was getting a bit far from shore for my first go. The paddle seems high quality too, it's metal but lightweight, probably will still sink though as it's not watertight Can't wait to try it with a chair, too bad all the stores just stopped carrying them once I wanted one, yet another thing I'll have to buy online, sigh ... show more
