Over the years, I have spent a lot of time and money buying pillows. I can never seem to find one that fits my needs. I thought this would be a good option to try because this came up as a top rated pillow from consumer reports. I really think this pillow might be the last pillow I ever need. I saw all the good reviews and I also read all the bad reviews. Pillows are very personal, and a pillow that works for one person may not work for the other person but, I decided to give this a try. I was so excited. This was on sale at Amazon and I got it same day. I have a lot of neck issues and pinched nerves so I thought this pillow would help. Once I took it out of the box, I fluffed it up by hand because I don’t have a dryer. Within 15 minutes the pillow was really fluffy. I tested it out. I’m a side sleeper. It didn’t work too well. I removed some of the stuffing which is luxuriously soft. And it seemed to be comfortable. This morning I woke up with a horrible neck and headache. So, I took a little more stuffing out. It seems to feel better now. This gives just the right amount of support. It doesn’t give too much pushback and it also doesn’t go flat. Yes, this will flatten out a little bit when you lay your head on it, but not completely to the mattress flat. I fluff it up before I go to bed and it works great. I think I have it at just the right thickness but we will see how it goes. Surprisingly, it was not too hot for me like others have reported. I do have a temperature control system on the bed so maybe that’s why the pillow temperature didn’t bother me as much. I did not have any pain in my ears from sleeping on a hard pillow. That was a big plus. It gives Justin enough support and not too much pressure so it’s perfect. The outer shell is really nice. The shell and zippers seem to be good quality. I still use a genuine silk pillowcase because I like it. I think this is my forever pillow. I will add an update after I use it for a while if anything changes. I am hoping for good durability. Last thing, this also comes with extra stuffing if you like your pillow, extra high, or if your pillow starts to go flat, you have more stuffing to put in it. Putting your pillow out in the sun or in the dryer once every couple of months will help to keep it fluffy. I don’t think I would ever wash the foam on the inside. There’s no reason for that. I am very particular about pillow density, support, suppleness and breath-ability due to being a stomach sleeper, which is why blindly purchasing pillows from the internet is uncharacteristic of me. I am the sort who needs to be in store and squishing and holding every pillow to test their viable characteristics. My risk taken was due to video reviews and the likes while researching new pillow contenders. This is my first online pillow purchase, and my reactions below are authentic. When I say this is the best pillow I have ever used, I am not exaggerating. It lives up to all its hype and then some. Out of the box in its flattened, freshly unrolled state I could already see the potential. The removable casing feels quilted in layers and doughy soft. The material is soft and sleek and not cheap, abrasive or starchy material which might feel unpleasant to the skin. Quite the contrary, it feels amazing to the touch and, more importantly, to the cheek. I did not have access to the laundry facilities in our apartments just yet, so it fluffed itself halfway within an hour. I fluffed it even more so, then stuck them in a drier for ten minutes. I could not believe how much more fluffy they became. They were robust and heavy but oh so squishy. We had purchased two pillows, but I also purchased an additional casing because I knew I would be removing considerable filler fluff as I am a stomach sleeper and we require less volume. My partner, however, is a side/back sleeper, and did not adjust any of the filler and is absolutely content. I took our two additional fluff bonus rolls plus about 35-40% of the fluff from my original pillow and made a whole new pillow with the additional casing. Oddly, this is the pillow I favor the most and I will tell you why. Our first night we had put pillow protectors on our new Coop pillows and then pillow cases, and we noticed that the pillows weren't quite as nice as when they first came out of the dryer. I realized what was causing this: the external pillow protectors had compacted the pillows and made them hard and full of air like two puffy, unforgiving balloons. The purchased pillows themselves come with an internal pillow protector which holds all the fluff, and apparently that's the only protector you need (the casing and pillow are washable). My franken-pillow I'd made with the extra fluff did not have one of these as I was unaware of the internal casing. Once we ripped the external protectors off (but kept the pillow cases, of course), the pillows were perfect and squishy and oh so soft once more. This is how we have kept them ever since. My franken-pillow is even more squishy and soft than the purchased pillows because it has no internal casing holding the innards together. I will have to get one so that I can launder these when needed, but right now am enjoying the luxury indulgence of it as is. If you are hesitant to buy one of these for yourself, I would say, throw caution to the wind. Hands down, these are the best pillows I have ever used, and I have used many, many pillows throughout my long life and travels. ... show more

    • Best pillow I’ve EVER purchased

I have probably bought 25 pillows in my quest for the perfect pillow. I have neck issues and the pain would wake me up at night or I would wake up in pain. This pillow has helped so much, my neck feels 90% better most days ! I’ve been using it for over a month. The pillow comes with extra stuffing and that has been super helpful to find just the right amount. I still have plenty left over if the material were to flatten. The stuffing is in small pieces so it doesn’t feel like I’m sleeping on chunks. I like that it has a liner that can be washed. The design of it with the winged corners has been surprisingly comfortable to sleep on. It really does make it more comfy with that extra shoulder room when sleeping on my side. This did cost a bit of money, but for me it was worth every penny !!! I’m considering buying an extra ! ... show more
