These stairs are awesome! I almost didn’t buy these because of some of the reviews that mentioned people couldn’t get these to stay down in the water and that they floated up at the bottom. I put sand in which is recommended, and let them fill completely with water before attaching to my deck. They are so much wider than what I expected too! (Yes I know I could have measured my ladder and discovered this but midnight browsing did not exactly make me want to go outside and measure it.) stairs were pretty easy to put together although I do highly recommend use YouTube video on how to put them together because the included instructions aren’t the best. Also the color is so much better than what is in the picture! It’s lighter and goes well with the sides of the pool. I find them to be very sturdy but I’m not hanging off of them or doing anything crazy. Very happy with this purchase! ... show more

Installed in our 20x40 above ground pool the assembly was easy and once in the pool they fit perfectly and are very stable and secure. They also matched up perfectly to our deck and look like they came with the pool originally, wish I would have purchased years ago. These stairs were easy to assemble and are sturdy once in the pool. We tried to fill with water and not have to use sand but in the end we needed sand. It took me over 2 hours to fill it full and a lot of cramming sand in with a chop stick to get it to move around. but once full and in the pool they are amazing! not sure how we ever survived before without them. ... show more

    • Good stairs for big boys

Got these stairs for the above ground pool. Ordered this set of stairs because of the weight limit. I am a big dude. I put them together with my Jr high age son and the stairs went together really easily. The assembly was pretty intuitive. I would suggest leaving the last few steps to do from wherever you are going to drop the stairs in from. Also, the instructions said to add 25lbs of sand if I remember correctly. I did not find that to be enough and added 50lbs of sand instead which worked much better. Having the assembly complete I went up and down the stairs and they feel pretty sturdy. I don't expect any issues with them supporting me. My only gripe would be on the two pieces that attach the stairs to the deck. Once you adjust the height I think there should be a set screw or something similar to lock them in at that height. Otherwise these are great sturdy stairs. ... show more

The steps are easy to assemble the quality and durability are excellent. These steps are very sturdy and stable. They are also very wide which makes you feel safe. I’m very pleased with the appearance and would definitely recommend them to friends.

Am thrilled with my new steps! Finally got rid of the teetering ladder. My teen nephew managed to assemble in about 40 minutes. I’ve weighted them down with the 50 lb weight bags that I filled with a couple of bricks & there is very little float to them. I can now enjoy the pool anytime without worry of falling off the old teeter totter ladder! I’m a big girl so they are very sturdy & I highly recommend! ... show more
