Super easy to put together. I added the sand to both sides outside of the pool. I used a cup and funnel to keep the sand even between the sides. Once they fill just tip the stairs forward to distribute the sand to the other chambers and keep filling. Put the handles on and secure into place with the screws. The two of us were able to lift it up and over the side of the pool with no problems. Tip it around to let the water in and the air out, put into place and secure the top to your decking. Super easy. Okay, the handrails on this are very questionable, they wobble easily so you need to be careful when you use them. I built a deck and stairs to access the outside of the pool over the rail of the pool. I purchased two dry bags and put twenty seven pounds of sand and each one and zip tied them to the bottom of the ladder on the vertical rails so the bags did not touch the bottom of the pool. Everything is easy to assemble. Sturdy and works nicely in our pool. The only issue is the bottom riser has nothing to hold it in place, so it just floats out. Needs to have one more step type piece at the very bottom to hold the riser in place.

We were thankful to find these steps for our new pool because we are not skinny & therefore would not fit on standard steps. I never liked standard ladder types anyway (even when I was young & thin) because it felt awkward climbing straight up. My knees haven’t been great since my college days. These are very sturdy.     • Hand rails are not sturdy
Looks and works good all except handrails are not supportive they move very freely anytime you touch them. I have a special needs son and we needed stairs for his pool so he could get in easily and the stair part is great but the handles have a lot of flex when touching them

The media could not be loaded. Like: in title. Dislike: unstable. We placed recommended sand weights on bottom and it tries to float away when you step on in. We added more weight No help. Would not be safe with small children or fragile adults. We got it so mom and dog could enter pool from deck without assistance. Because of its instability, someone must be there to hold in place. Product is as described, very simple to put together. I didn’t fill with sand, I done what another review said and put a screw into the handrail to prevent them from floating upwards, it works really well. These steps filled with water and they stay down. Handrails could be a little more heavier duty but overall all I’m happy with my purchase and would definitely purchase them again.
