I have an overweight husky that inhales her food and needed to purchase a slow feeder. After getting this one and doing the measurements of her dog bowl, I found that the entice slip ridges did not fit inside the bowl. I think the design was intended to be used by itself and not inside an existing bowl. We took a sander to the edges to file those down and it now fits really well inside the bowl for feeding time. It has slowed down my dogs eating tremendously and also gives her a little bit of a mental workout during feed time to help tire her out. It is durable in that my dog has tried to bite it to get out of the bowl to get food that slips in between the feeder and the bowl, and it has also stood up to the dishwasher. I have a young mini goldendoodle and she inhales her food and immediately wants more. This bowl is amazing! Has slowed her down significantly, giving her time to actually chew her food. My standard golden doodle has one of the other bowls by the same company and he has started chewing his food again as well. I found that the bowl with the rings worked better for the smaller puppy kibble and the purple flower bowl worked better for the full size kibble.
