    • Best flip-proof guinea pig food bowls I found when used with magnets.

I use 4 of these for my guinea pigs. They had kept flipping their old food bowls constantly, resulting in frequently lost dry food. So I decided to give these a chance. Oddly enough, my guinea pigs adore these food bowls. They rest their front feet on top of the bowl and just stay there for a while eating comfortably. The bowl is metal but they don't chew on it. The rest they can reach is all plastic and they ignore that. One thing I realized early on is that the metal bowl, being removable, was not the most stable surface for a guinea pig to rest on and they could still partially lift those bowls. So I purchased some flat neodymium magnets with adhesive to place between the bowls and bases. The bowls no longer shift at all unless I remove them. The only concern is making sure that anxious guinea pig feet don't get accidentally caught between the bowl and base when I give them their food, but so far that has not happened. Some hay has gotten into a couple of the magnets' adhesive and diminished the bond, but it was easy enough to apply new adhesive tape. Overall these are fantastic food trays for my purpose and I would recommend them to anyone who is tired of guinea pigs flipping bowls and who is willing to go out of their way to apply magnets so that the trays work right. ... show more

These bowls were exactly what we were looking for. They attach to the crate and keep the food and water from getting knocked over by our new Kittens. Other bowls we put inside the crate or constantly getting spilled. Also, love the colors and quality.
