This is easy to install for the most part. I selected the wrong size and still decided to try and use it. I figured I could line up the film right next to each other and have it look seamless. Unfortunately that was not the case. It was very hard for me to get it straight enough to fit perfectly next to the initially applied piece. While this works and was easy to apply, you should definitely make sure you have the right size so you do not need to apply multiple sections. When applying, the more water the better! This kit comes with a small spray bottle to help with this. It also comes with a knife, scraper, and tape measure. The room darkening is great. Of course not as dark as a blackout would be, but it provides indoor shade while still being able to see outside. Another plus is the uv and heat blocking. We got this for the bottom of our kitchen window - it faces the outside and we wanted to leave the blinds up without people being able to look in. Our plan was just to put this on the bottom where we leave the blinds open. It works, but installing it took several tries - basically it takes practice. The included tools are very helpful. Works well but not sure black was the right selection for us. Looks weird from the street only having part of the window covered. May have to cover the entire window. ... show more
