I bought this steam cleaner to have something on hand to destroy all remaining bacteria from the previous renters when we moved into our new home. You never know, who lived here before, hence I didn't want to put our children at risk and hence I decided to clean every sensitive area with this steamer without any harmful chemicals, which was very important for me. So how did it work? It was super easy to get it ready to use and also usage itself was pretty easy, even for a first time user. I love the safety caps, which prevents me from getting burned by accident. That's very important. So maybe you can also loosen some stubborn old dirt, but dirt finally has to be sucked up and this has no suction like all other simple steamers, hence for me it's mainly a thing to clean window glass and make surfaces bacteria free. The runtime of about 20 mins was definitely sufficient. There was always power, hence I was able to work without interruption. Switching nozzles is also super easy and can even be done with pressure inside. The cable is quite long, but not long enough for everything, so I was using an extension cord most of the time, which worked very well. I really couldn't find any real flaw on this machine. This is a great product, works even better than advertised. Easy to use and provides steam for awhile. Great attachments that enacted you to get into different spaces. Had to use it on my Samsung Refrigerator ice maker.

    • Verses Bissell Steam Shot
The one challenge I always had with the Bissell steam shot was tank capacity, so when it quit working I decided to try the competition. Firstly I spent ages looking for the combination of features with a decent price and this fit the bill. One thing I wanted to point out first is the temperature listed is misleading as it’s in Fahrenheit, the temperature of steam is not measured above 100 degrees centigrade. How much hot can a boiling kettle get for example. Steamers work by heating the water up to boiling point which under pressure creates steam, as soon as it leaves the steamer it turns into vapor which is what we then use. So how did it perform? On initial use I found the tank to be a little temperamental, if you slightly overfill water actually leaks past the cap at the top, I also found the cord compared to the bissell significantly shorter, and in general it’s the one weak spot, from experience in time it will pull away and start splitting, the most annoying feature is the trigger button which you have to slide awkwardly to fire the vapor, its really awkward to get right and because it’s fiddly it’s the second weak spot to be aware of. Performance wise it’s great, I love the adjustable directional nozzle and all the accessories are on par with the bissell. On the whole in comparison the bissell is more sophisticated and user friendly, however the tank size means less refills when tackling larger jobs. One of the most common questions I’ve noticed is if this will kill beds bugs. Absolutely, bed bugs die at 80 degrees centigrade, however not immediately, your going to need a good 3O seconds to do that, so no quick passes. On the whole I like this steamer, but if user friendly is an important quality definitely look at the bissell. ... show more

    • Does the Job, Think Before You Push Buy.....

Pros: This does the job its supposed to. Its good because it holds a lot of water, and you dont have to keep refilling. The attachments are awkward, and not user friendly. Having the long hose, with steam is really nice, due to the lite weight, and able to get into tight spots, and the steam lock feature. Overall good purchase and worth the extra money, when compared to the hand held versions. Cons: Not easy to store, should come with a little bag for all the attachments. Should have some sort of area to store the cord and the hose, its just all loosey goosey in the closet. Not easy to empty tank or know if there is any water left in tank at end of cleaning cycle. I expect this to cause mold/mildew issues later down the road. Attachments are not easy to understand, a sicker with a picture of what it does ON THE ATTACHMENT would be really nice add on. ... show more

    • Defrosted fridge fantastically!
Fan quit on French door fridge and caused cooling fins and drain to ice up so freezer worked, but fridge was not cool. Had to defrost/melt thick ice without warping plastic molding. This steamer worked excellent for it. The added nozzles defrosted the drain hole easily. Fridge looks like new- so clean. And works again! Will be using this to clean my fridge from now on! ... show more

    • Good for Light Cleaning Only, But So Are My Hands
I had low expectations for this steam cleaner after spending several days studying reviews for similar products. The first red flag when my Comforday cleaner arrived was the poor packaging. The contents of the box had burst open in the shipping box, so I was immediately suspicious about the quality. The instruction leaflet was poorly written and unclear — there were excessive spelling, syntax, and grammatical errors. Moreover, it had no explanations about how to use each attachment and for which purpose. My first test was to clean some caked on mold in the grooves of the kitchen faucet, and the cleaner did an okay job of breaking up the mold but not much more. I then used it to clean light drips on the microwave door and it did that job well, but had no effect on the grime in the crevices around the door opener and other buttons that I’ve never been able to reach. The final test was the old, dingy bathroom tub, which I’ve spent years trying to get truly clean from deeply embedded mold and rust. It failed that test spectacularly. I’ve had much better results with a mixture of vinegar spray followed by vigorous scrubbing with baking soda and dish soap. I have several chronic illnesses, allergies, and chemical sensitivities, and was looking for a chemical-free deep cleaner that would make cleaning easier on my limited mobility. But, the Comforday Steam Cleaner was only helpful with very light cleaning, which I can simply accomplish with my hands and some baking soda.
