Some reviewers commented that it was overly soft and did not support, which actually attracted me. I wanted something really soft that would simply elevate my knee area slightly. But this thing is quite firm and I have been using it over a month. It is not hard, just not mushy at all. The bag it came in had instructions on how to air it out for 24 hours before using to get rid of any odor. Many had complained about its smell so I made sure to follow the directions. I have not detected any odor of any kind after a month. It has definitely helped with knee pain, but not so much to just rest the knee on.     • Too Small for Back Sleepers
I bought this pillow as a Christmas gift, and while overall it looks to be a nice quality, it's very short. I wish I would have noted this before ordering that it's only 18" long. My brother's intent was to use it under his knees while sleeping on his back; Well unless you have a tiny frame, and plan to sleep with your knees tightly together all night long, this pillow is not long enough. We did return, so no testing it out, but I am also suspicious the half moon is not ideal for back sleepers needing knee support. This is my second purchase of these pillows. They provide decent support for the small of my back, better than more expensive products. I have noticed that the latest one doesn’t seem quite as supportive as the prior one, but still no complaints - just hope the quality doesn’t keep going down.
