  • Easy to wrap and adjust. Holding up well after a month.
Size: Standard Color: Black
I am using this to help reduce swelling in my ankle. It also provides great support. It's quick and easy to apply and gives some adjustment as to where the pressure is placed. Sometimes I wrap my heal and sometimes I wrap it up my leg a little (I had a surgery that left everything from the calf down swelling) It's a pretty stout elastic material so you can crank up the compression if you need. On the inside, there is this rubbery stuff that keeps it right were you put it. It also fits well in a shoe. I've had it for about a month now and used it daily at work and even to a vacation on the beach in sandals. It's holding up very well! The rubbery stuff is a good as when it was new and the velcro holds like new as well. Worth the money although after I purchased it, I saw a 2 pack for just a couple bucks more and I would have love to have two around because I use it so much. If they made this thing in a longer version, I would definitely buy it. ... show more

  • great for my posterior tibial tendon problems
Size: Standard Color: Black
I have partial posterior tibial tendon collapse (flat foot) on my left side and have a large ankle and calf, and regular braces don't fit properly, and "plus size" braces I found at a medical equipment store were clearly made for bigger people. This strap is the first thing I've found that gives me some support throughout the day and I love it. It's a long strap with velcro on one end, and you can wrap it around your bottom foot, then ankle, then again around the foot or higher on the ankle, your choice. I injured my left foot and ankle about 3 1/2 years ago and that lead to my posterior tibial tendon partially collapsing, plus some arthritis and rheumatoid nodules. Had physical therapy but it was suboptimal, as the only clinic in town focuses on sports medicine and the college athletes rather than everyday people. In the course of my therapy I was told that braces would not help. Earlier this year when I still couldn't walk much despite doing the exercises I was taught, I decided to investigate how to improve my PTTD, and the first thing I saw was that a well-known protocol said the first step was to wear a brace. As mentioned, I couldn't find a decent brace that fit right, but this strap (branded as a brace) was exactly what I needed. I can wrap it twice around the bottom of the foot to give me a little arch support, or twice around the ankle for tendon support. Currently I'm using an arch support pillow attached to my foot, with this strap around it holding it in place. The pain is much better, and with less stress on the tendon during the day, my physical therapy exercises seem to be doing more good than they were before. One thing that is kind of weird about the strap is there is a rubber traction side, but you can't wrap with that side on the outside because the velcro tab at the end doesn't face the right way. You could maybe tuck it underneath a strap to get some hold but I haven't been able to get that to work yet. Not sure why the rubber traction is on the "skin side" but it is. Also, this thing will rip up your socks and shoes eventually, it's pretty tough. I like wearing it on the foot with a sock over it, and that seems to be gentler on the sock than wearing it over a sock. It washes well, I use Woolite for darks in a sink and let it soak, then let it drip over a sink for a while, then hang it up and let it finish drying, which it does overnight. No dryer and I wouldn't put it in a washing machine either, but washing it really quick in the sink is easy enough. Definitely recommend this, especially if you've got large ankles or calves and have been having trouble finding something that will fit. ... show more

  • "Did not work for my injury but may work for yours"...
Size: Standard Color: Black
UPDATE: I saw my podiatrist and he diagnosed me with "insertional peroneal tendonitis". Initially he used an insert material on the orthotic of my work shoe to force my foot into eversion. I continued with my home exercise, massage gun on light setting, icing etc. Additionally, I tried to stay off my foot as much as possible at work especially. This was not sufficient as my foot barely improved. As a result, he provided me with a lace-up brace with criss-cross Velcro support as well which is clearly a more "moderate to severe" brace. I am doing a series of four exercises daily and continuing with my other therapies. I will be staying off my foot as much as I can at work and home because tendinitis is all about "REST". That being said, I am now using the "Comfilife" ankle support wrap for home use with slippers so that I at least have "LIGHT" support with a gentle lean towards almost moderate support. Hopefully this will be sufficient since the Comfilife is a much more comfortable support than the other one when you are wearing them for an extended period of time. I will hold onto the product but unfortunately it did not work for my current ankle/lateral (outer) foot injury. For the record, I have not seen my MD yet and am trying to self-treat my injury based on my being a former certified personal trainer many, many years ago. I am experiencing pain at the ankle bone with light swelling and it runs down to the lower outside side of my foot. I do not recall rolling or twisting my ankle but I work in asset protection so maybe something minor occurred that I have already forgotten about since it seemed insignificant at the time. I have been dealing with this for several weeks now and am trying multiple compression wraps. The REVIEW: -- This wrap is designed for "LIGHT" support with maybe a gentle lean into "moderate" -- The diagram with care instructions is pretty good being a step-by-step guide. It would be even better if it were a little more of a close-up view. -- The care instructions are very good and clear. I would probably go against them and wash it on COLD in a "gentle" cycle in a delicates zipper bag with other delicates and then lay it out to air dry. But that is me, I dislike hand washing and have done this with countless items when they say to "hand wash only" and they always come out fine. -- Initially I test drove this around the house wearing it over a sock and wearing house slippers. It seemed comfortable and gave pretty good support. -- You do need to look at the "how to use" directions very carefully and apply them to "the letter of the law" or you will surely have issues. -- It appears well made and even has the squiggly lines of gel to help it adhere and not slide. -- You need to be gentle and use two hands when you remove the brace. Use one hand to hold it down near where the Velcro is attached and gently pull with the other hand because the contact is super strong and the materials firmly adhere to one another. Otherwise you may damage the material sooner than later. -- I suspect that the wrap may be a little short and that is why some slight shifting occurs when I wore it with work shoes which led to discomfort in my case. I wear a size 12 shoe. I am 6' 1/2" tall and weigh 176 pounds. It started off fairly comfortable and supportive as I began my work shift but I could tell after a few hours in that it had shifted some and was becoming more uncomfortable. By the last 1-2 hours there was less support and I should have likely just pulled it off but I figured some support was better than no support so I rolled with it. All in all, this may work for some people with mild injuries. ... show more

  • Good brace

This is easy to use and provides awesome support. Other braces were so bulky with my shoe this one seems less bulky and provides the same support.

  • Daytime Relief for Tennis-Induced Sprain, with a Nighttime Comfort Consideration"
Size: Standard Color: Black
The ankle brace played a crucial role in aiding my recovery from a sprained ankle, especially after a tennis injury. It offered substantial support during the day, making movement more comfortable. However, wearing it overnight became a bit challenging as it caused some discomfort. While it served its purpose well during active hours, its nighttime wearability was limited. Despite this, for daytime use and recovery, the ankle brace proved effective, providing the necessary stability for my healing process. ... show more
