  • Best Bang item
Shipping was in a timely manner packaging was good product was better value for the money than a lot of the other ones out there. did not have the safety pins but ease of use was pretty good O in high quality manufacturing but they'll last longer than I will. I'll give it the best Bang for your buck for that particular product. ... show more

  • Don't let the thin claws trick you... 6000lb, V8, front coils
I purchased too compress BMW 745Li front coilovers to avoid dropping the entire bottom suspension to replace wheel bearings and unfortunately had to turn these upside down with the tightening bolt up in the A-pillar. No way in no way recommend or suggest doing so but Due to the confining workspace from having to use these upside down I was only able to get one of the sides of the claws to grab the underside of the actual strut plate/support the actual spring sits on and a few times it was only one of the two claws holding the 70% compressed coil spring. Very unsafe make sure you have equal pressure on both claws of each side... but if you're looking at these little things thinking they're puny and the claws are small and maybe cheap well now you know these held their own on coil springs on the front of a 6000lb car with a v8 so for sure they can handle a lot of other cars out there just be safe wear safety glasses and use properly ... show more

  • And low, I saw the Angel of death
Things is really freaking sketchy. I bought because it has the double hooks, but haven’t found a spring that it will actually catch both hooks. Tool literally broke, and smashed my hand and broke my fingers. And yes, I know hope you use these.

  • THEY WORK
So I honestly used it one time and abused the hell out of them using a torque gun I had and a 9 inch 1/2 inch extension and the angle I had the extension going into the compressor at cracked the insert of the coil compressor but did not weaken it it kept going and I finished the entire vehicle so it did its job and I saved over 700 on labor so i am beyond happy with this product if it wasn't due to my negligence i could still reuse it cause I compressed it to max multiple times with no flex so I will buy again if I need to do a strut coil swap again cause they worked and for the price they're awesome. If you have any questions about my use feel free to ask! ... show more

  • for larger diameter springs.
if you have smaller diamiter springs, like a honda civic, this wont work, the bends that grip the spring, extend into the center of the spring too much to let the strut fit in between, you will crush and scratch your strut using these.

  • Easy to use and good price
Can use ratchet, wrench or socket to compress the springs.

  • Great price and worked great.
I just used these today. My first time compressing springs for struts and these work great. The struts were on a '95 corolla and they fit the curve of the spring well, I don't know how they'd do on a big pickup truck but if they fit on , they would work. I watched a pro on utube and all he did was snug them up , didn't really compress the spring , then loosened the nut. Once you start loosening the nut , the clamps take over. easy peasy. I actually wanted to see the clamps work so I tightened them enough to loosen the top cap. Excellent tool and I highly recommend. ... show more

  • Didn’t do what I was hoping for.
Not sure if I wasn’t paying attention to what I was ordering or not, but they did not fit on the springs of the 99 F150 I was trying to use them on. They just would not grab onto the spring. Seem well constructed because they held up to me tossing them across the garage a few times, using them as a pry bar 4 times, and a hammer a couple of times though. So to say they were absolutely useless would be a lie. ... show more
