Bought it over the recognized brand that was significantly more expensive. It works so well and really easy to use. My friends all love it and a few purchased it for their home. It's really fun to offer a smoked cocktail to guests. And the smoke flavor really gets into the drink. I thought about other options, but didn't really want to deal with having to keep a butane torch around. This has more parts to it, but much easier to use a lighter or a match. I have been looking for a multi-use smoke gun to smoke whiskeys, bourbons, aged venison, hamburgers, etc. This Homia smoker is so easy to use. You unpack it, put the four batteries in the handle to create the vacuum, put the wood chips in, light them on fire and push the trigger. Whatever you have the hose attached to is where it directs the smoke. Something to take in consideration if you're doing it inside do it underneath the hood vent so the smoke smell does not get in your whole house, this is not from fault to the equipment it's just what happens with smoke. The value is decent, the design is easy to use, the weight is light, and it's versatile depending on the type of adapters you get. And the taste change with the food and alcohol depending on the wood chips you have. This set came with cherry, cottonwood, mesquite, and pear. Deep smoke flavor in seconds. Very very easy to use! You can use store bought smoker wood chips, just cut them down with meat scissors. We make a Campfire S’mores adult drink with Rootbeer and Captain dark rum, you can also use Coke but I don’t drink Coke. I ordered this set for my smoking gun to be used specifically with peach and pineapple drinks, along with an old fashioned. The concept is good. I am giving the glasses 5 stars for now as they are functioning properly. I have 3 concerns but not deducting any stars as they are just concerns right now; • First is the internal straw “holder”. The description indicates the glasses and straws are made of borosilicate glass, so they should be a little stronger. When I was washing the glass, I was careful around the internal straw holder but with how thin it is, I fear it may not hold out that long. • Next is the seal on the bottom. The concern isn’t as much the seal itself as it is the concept. Liquids will use gravity to find their way out. This concept uses the glass and its weight, along with the mass of the drink to sit on top of a rubber seal. How well this stays sealed, well, time will tell. • Last is the actual seal. The description notes the “plug” as rubber. Why the manufacturer chose rubber instead of silicone is beyond me. Rubber could break down over time, silicone will not. As long as the glasses hold, I’m good. If anything starts failing prematurely, I will update the review. ... show more

    • Stopped working after a couple of uses

UPDATE: I contacted the manufacture and they said they are sending me a replacement smoke gun. SMOKE GUN - This gun is made of all plastic, even the chamber were the wood sits that appears metal in the photo, so the cheap parts of this smoke gun just would not hold up!! I used this 3-4 times before it stopped working all together. It is completely dead! I tried changing the batteries and tested different batteries in case I got bad batteries, but NOPE. Doesn't even try to run!. It worked okay for the couple of times it did work. It smoked nice. It took about 30 seconds to fill the cocktails glass with smoke and did get plenty of smoke into the glass. SMOKE BOX - My husband tried it once and didn't want anything to do with it after that. It bellowed smoke out of the cracks too much where the lid closes. BUBBLE KIT - I tried to make bubbles that sit on top of martini glass so I could serve it that way. I followed the directions to a 'T' from the video, being careful not to let the bubble touch the edges of the glass before stopping the smoke process. I tried about ten bubbles in one sitting. It was a success on ONE bubble but it popped every other time before it could perch on the glass, thus making serving cocktails with a smoked bubble completely useless!! This may be an issue with the quality of the bubbles which was the Homia Bubbles. That's another story. Those showed up leaked completely out of the jar. The bubble liquid was spilled into the bottom of the bubble wrap envelope that they were packed in. I poured what was left of the liquid back into the jar. I was able to save about 1/4 of the liquid that way. Paid $20 for these bubbles, but couldn't be bothered getting a refund or replacement so I just used what was left. WOOD CHIPS - a bit chunky and hard to start. We had other chips that were shredded and thinner that worked better. The flavor of the wood is good though. SUMMARY - I paid $109 + dollars for this kit. I guess I can call this one a total loss! Sorry. One Star only. ... show more
