I use this cooler specifically to store aluminum cans of Diet Coke only. It can fit a six pack of regular size cans or it can fit four of the tall cans. The only issue one might have with this unit is the long time it takes to make a room temperature can cold. It could take hours. It looks nice, it's quiet and it's very inexpensive for what it does. I have not had a chance to use the warming feature but if it is as efficient as the cooling feature then I imagine it will keep a meal warm until it is ready to eat. I have also not had a chance to use the unit in a moving vehicle however if I am granted the opportunity to take a road trip I would consider using the unit especially over long distance. I fully recommend this unit as a nice desk item under the desk item. Truthfully for the price and how cold it gets the cans you really cannot beat it. ... show more

    • Surge Protection Needed
I've had three of these "Mini-Mini" fridges. The third one just quit yesterday. I've finally figured what is probably the culprit: Electrical Surges. Refrigerators like these don't use compressors as do larger more conventional fridges. They use a direct current passing across two different metals in one direction or the other to either generate heat (heating) or remove heat (cooling). This is called Peltier effect or Thermo-Electric Cooling/Heating. The little transformers in these "Mini-Mini" fridges apparently do not hold up well when hit with a power surge as experienced in thunderstorms. So from now on, I'm making sure my "Mini-Mini" is plugged into a battery-back up surge protector and will hope that will solve the problem. ... show more

These new generation of 12V DC coolers really stay cold unlike it's predecessors even with the help of ice packs does not stay cold for long. The only thing, if it was just a few inches bigger would be more helpful, could squeeze a few more items.

I tend to get a dry throat at night especially when sick or during the hot summer or deep cold winter. This thing works and fits about 4-6 bottles depending how you configure them and keep it at the perfect temp if you like your water cold as I do. I bought this for breast milk storage for my wife overnight. I wanted a product to keep it cold overnight to avoid going downstairs to the fridge. It works great and is quiet. I can fit both of her momcozies in the fridge, or a couple pouches of milk.
