I love to lift heavy things, and I am a CrossFit and theist, but I hate using the standard metal squeeze clamps on my barbell because I can never get them on and off quickly in my hands always strain time to get them on or off. I prefer these types of clamps for daily lifting. I find these clamps easy to use and sturdy. However, if I were going to do more Olympic style lifting, I might stick with a standard metal squeeze clamp. These may not be strong enough for extreme heavy weights like you would see in Olympic lifting. But for daily lifting and CrossFit these are perfect. They are easy to use. I just keep them in my gym bag and I don’t have to worry about my hand straining. Additionally, these collars put enough extra pressure on the outside of the weights that they stay nice and upright, even if you have to drop the barbell, the weights will not wobble and wiggle as much. Sometimes you see that wobble and wiggle on 10 pound CrossFit weights if you drop the bar. So these minimize the wobble of the weights if you drop the bar. ... show more

This is an edited review. I’ve used 2 pairs of these on and off for about a year now. And had good results until recently a clamp gave out when my arms were extended doing db skulk crushers. Thank God I was able to get my face out of the way in time. A trip to the emergency room would cost a lot more than what I saved buying these clamps. I originally ordered these based on a recommendation from Coop at Garage Gym Reviews. I couldn’t believe it. I decided to reach out to Clout and told them of my experience. No questions asked, THE NEXT DAY a new set was at my door. AMAZING customer service and they stand by their product. As per GGR, these are the same as the much more expensive Rogue clamps and perform about as well… but cheaper and still with great customer support. I’m now a customer for life ... show more

Ordered the Red/Black set, work just as good as any other clamp, for about half the price. I only lift a 2x45 each side deadlifts, I do drop the bar, and these clips hold up. Couldn't tell you how they hold up with more weight, as that is all I deadlift right now. If you are starting your home gym, a great product to cut cost and have money for other equipment. I've read all the reviews around them "being cheap"... "you get what you pay for"... "might as well pay the extra 20$ and get more expensive ones"... "terrible service"... etc.. btw.. I'm not sponsored and i did pay for the product. I purchased them anyway. Especially since i workout everyday and if it's going to break, i'm sure it'll be during the AMAZON 30day return window so i put these things to the test. Well, I tested them hard and sure enough, between some heavy sessions, i had to change out the plates. I was beat and upset at my last set that i must've pulled on them too tight or perhaps yanked on the tab too hard.. anyway, the quick release tab broke on me but was still able to use the clamps and finish the workout. Checked my amazon account, and of course, my 30day window was over but I thought i'd message the vendor anyway and see if they can fix it or send me a replacement, or at least let me buy 1 vs having to buy another pair. Here's where they stand out. Yes, it did break, but my review is really on the company. Not only did they respond within an hour to my request, they offered to send me a new pair. That new pair (i kid you not) showed up the very next morning. And here's the kicker, they sent me a new version that already addresses the tab snapping issue. They are thicker, built to last, and sooo easy to use. I mean, it just doesn't get better. They were absolutely perfect in handling my issue. And here's the thing. If they would've came back and said i'm outside of the 30day return and couldn't replace them, i would've just written it off as a loss (considering the price) and probably left them a 2 or 3 star review and move on. But now? They've earned my trust and definitely looking at them again for any future accessories. Try them out. You'll see. ... show more

Looks good. Might be too thick for a 4ft bar bell but it works for me. I’m kind of scared on how fragile it is since it’s a plastic, it feels like it will break if you have it without any plates on a 22lb barbell (I keep mine in our apartment complex gym so I keep the clamps set with it when I’m not using it) and you throw or drop the barbell on the floor. but we’ll see. Product does as described. Lock tab is easy to lock / unlock. Clamps tight, stays tight. I remove them from the bar when not in use. They are plastic, which with just a bit of care and caution not to drop the plates on them, using them as intended, they will hold up just fine.

Very handy having these clips for the barbell and trap/hex bar. I don’t have to go searching around the gym or bother anyone to ask for clips anymore. And they are lightweight and easy to clip on. Been using them daily and they seem to be holding up fine.
