This rope has been excellent to use so far, although I did have to dress the cut ends myself, they don't come dressed the greatest from the factory. If you need a strong affordable rope to help lower or lift heavy loads, this rope should do the trick just fine. The rope comes coiled and bound into a rigid roll, making initial transportation very nice. I highly recommend a rope bag after the initial transportation, though. ... show more

I kayak regularly. Have seen many old ropes dangling from trees along the rivers. There is one spot with a beach and rock cliffs where most people paddling will pull out to jump from the rocks or have lunch. Got tired of people saying I wish someone would replace that rope swing. Saw this arborist rope and thought that should work. Knew immediately, as I unpacked this climbing rope, that I had made a wise choice. As with furniture, the heavier a rope, the better the quality. Love the bright color (high vision yellow) - I can spot it in the tree approximately 25 yards up river. I had a couple of guys take this rope and install it on a huge tree limb for me (62 yr old female). It was stiff when I took it out of the plastic. I chose to work with it for a few days crimping, twisting and loosening it or in other words ... making it softer or breaking it in. The climbing rope arrives with the ends cinged so it doesn't begin unraveling. The 2 men who installed it for a tree swing said it was a little stiff but they tied their special military style knots in it and said it should be there for 10+ years due to the nice quality. 50 feet was the perfect length for my situation! 5 stars ... show more

Used this rope a few times to cut & fell heavy limbs from the oak tree. The rope is very stout, solid and does not stretch. I've also used it to pull a few smaller shrubs, very strong! 3/4" x 50ft is just about the perfect length.
