After researching several mini saws - I am happy with this purchase. Cones with 6 extra blades plus one in the machine. Used it on my first project for deck stairs. Cuts smoothly in pressure treated wood, clean cuts. the laser light was quite helpful in lining up with the marks on board. Only issue I had was trying to press the two buttons at once to start the saw as I have small lady hands. other than that - I like it. My dad used it as well and he was impressed with the ease of using it-no directions needed. Functional and did the job we needed it to do. ... show more

Very happy with this little saw. I've used it on a nimbervof various projects already and many different materials and it works very well, cut is clean and straight. It is easy to handle, not too heavy. Comes very handy all the time. I don't rely on the laser much, but it's a nice feature. The attachment for vacuum cleaner is OK, I expected it to work a bit better, but in the end it does help and limits dust while cutting. I just wish it would come with vacuum adapter - I had to get a makeshift adapter to fit the vacuum hose. ... show more

Little hesitant to buy it after reading some negative responses. BUT, I'm very experienced with power tools and as a tile, cement cutting tool it does the job. It doesn't have high RPM's for fast cutting but with the discharge shute, which I connected to my Craftsman 12 gallon shop vac. It did an excellent job cutting the cement to make a recess walk-in shower. Hardly any dust! Has a laser guided light, several extra blades, very long power cord, a edge guide. Recommend for the DIY person. Worth the money. ... show more

The performance is excellent, and it deserves 5 stars - but you must have big hands for the proper grip. The weight would not be a problem if the Safety button is relocated from the left side to the top. That is the biggest design flaw that I see with this DOVAMAN Circular Saw. The safety button is located on the left side - meaning if you are right-handed like myself and with average or small hands, it is impossible to reach across the neck and hold down the safety button with your thumb while pulling the trigger with your fingers at the same time. That is how most small and light weight power tools are designed to work - but this tool is NOT light weight. If this DOVERMAN Saw was re-designed with the safety button on the Top instead of the left Side, I would easily give it 5 Stars. My solution to the problem was to use a clamp to permanently hold down the safety button ( see picture : Not really recommended for safety purpose). That freed up my right fingers to easily pull the trigger and my thumb to grip the top. I hope the manufacturers will take note and improve on the design. ... show more
