11/20/2022: Revising back up to 4 stars for improved handling of the return. The seller contacted me through Amazon and made both an effort to replace the scooter AND offered a compensatory gift. While I didn’t feel the gift was necessary, I did ask for a refund, which was processed immediately. In speaking with them several times over the course of a few days it was clear that they do care about their product and the satisfaction of the customer. Not sure what happened with my support request through their website, but support through Amazon was outstanding. I decided to look at ebikes instead of scooters, but if I were to go back to scooters, I would look at Circooter first. 11/16/2022: Revising down to 2 stars. Only ONE day after receipt, the scooter stops immediately after pushing the accelerator with an E16 error. According to the manual that is a motor fault. Also not consistently keeping the bluetooth connection with the app. Used the support portal at www.circooter.com to request support. Never heard from them. UPS just picked it up for return. No support = no customers. What’s excellent: • SOLID design and build. • Quick fold and lock of the center column AND the handlebars. • Adjustable handlebar height • Bright headlight well positioned • Directionals and Under-glow lights • Wide, comfortable deck • Zero assembly. (I don’t consider attaching the bag assembly) • Torquey 800W motor handles most hills adequately • Cruise control?!? • Robust charging port • App has a lot of features The Weak: • Despite powerful 800W motor, it couldn’t even carry my 190# self up a 15% grade, much less a 20-25% grade as advertised. Maybe a 150# person could’ve done it @ 3 mph, but for me, it quit after about 150 meters. • Battery only lasted about lasted about 6 miles (again, 190#, turbo mode, and a fair number of hills. Although I *needed* turbo for the hills) • Spaghetti-mess of wires on the handlebars is ugly and could snag a branch. Needs wrapped. • Suspension is really stiff. You feel everything and I can see rattle fatigue being an issue on longer or bumpy tides. • Display is very low-resolution. Looks like a refugee from like 2010. Smaller numbers are hard to read—especially while in motion. • Rear kickstand isn’t super stable and scrapes when going over rocks and curbs. This scooter definitely offers a pretty substantial upgrade to the 350W (mfr. claimed 540W peak) scooter I had before. I live in SoCal and hills are a fact of life, but this scooter easily handled most of the hills in my neighborhood, only dropping to 10mph in turbo mode on a 6% grade. Not so great on the really steep 15% hill, but fortunately it’s not one I travel frequently anyway. Not thrilled with the display, but it’s functional. Guess I could strap my phone to it if I really want a nice display. I’m primarily using it to run my dog a bit more, so it more than meets my needs. But I think if I were shopping for something that I would use more off-road, or even for a longer distances, I would definitely look at scooters with at least 1000W motors. I was very doubtful as i shopped for 2 months and researched and took a leap off the high dive and chose Circooter and WOW I am glad I did. At first being unfamiliar with how they operate it took me a couple days to get it charged, to slowly get used to its operation. I downloaded the app which added features such as to lock it while i go to Wawa for coffee, plan trips, keep track of my milage. Now 2 months later if I never drove a car again, I'm cool with that and plan in the near future to upgrade to a faster commuter with more power. Accelerates smoothly, brakes smoothly. I have put in about 1228 miles on this scooter. It works great for 7 mile daily commute. Great size to handle, perfect situation with the solid tires although it rides rough but no flats ever! Goes fast enough and handles most hills. I needed something strong and fast enough but not over the top. This does the job. Foldable handles are a big plus. Mileage is good enough to get you out and back. Charges relatively fast (5-8 hours). Strong build and also easy to be carried for grocery shopping. Can take along on bus. It’s really perfect in its range of fast portable but sturdy and strong. I recommend for anyone who is serious about using it as a personal vehicle. Will save you gas money lol ... show more

I bought it intending to take it with me on my semi. This thing is huge. There was bo where I could put it. Also very heavy so pulling it out to use it was nit feasible. Ended up giving to my adult son. He's 220# and we live in the mountains. He uses it to get around town. It'll make it up the big hill, if it has enough charge to go into turbo mode. I don't normally write reviews; however, I thought I needed to with this purchase. I conducted a lot of research when it came to E-Scooters and I read a lot of reviews. I decided to purchase this scooter for myself (birthday present of course) just to get around our neighborhood. I have only had it for a couple of days and I haven't been disappointed. This scooter is very well built. It's not a light scooter (48 lbs) but built tough. It is taller than you expect but that is a good thing. I get on this scooter and I feel like I can conquer the world because it feels so "muscular". It has 3 modes to it and the Turbo mode is just awesome...the scooter just takes off when you push of the accelerator knob. Tires are great and the suspension system is excellent. The lighting system is excellent...lights all around and easily seen in the darkness. If I had to talk about one negative thing about this scooter, it would be the kick-stand. When you put the kick-stand down, it doesn't allow the scooter to "lean" enough. It is very close on being upright and I'm afraid it will tip over...appears to be no way to adjust the stand.
