I've been using this for about a month now on a keloid acne scar on my nose. I don't really know how old it is, but not too recent, and I'm very self conscious about it. I tried not to get my hopes up when it seemed less red about two weeks or so, since winter weather might just mean there wasn't a lot of blood flow to the area, but after one month (the directions suggest waiting three months for effects) I can confidently say I see a difference. I wish I had before and after pictures. The keloid scar is a little less red, but the big difference is that it isn't as raised. The scar threw off the symmetry of my nose and I am much happier with how I look now that the texture is more even. I can also cover it with make up a lot easier, where before the texture made it pretty impossible. I have high hopes for how I will look after two more months. As it is, I've been using it twice a day, as recommended, but I'm definitely not perfect at remembering. I also am a stay at home mom and have the luxury to go without makeup most days, someone who wants to wear makeup over it may be unhappy with how shiny the gel stays even after the five minutes of absorption. ... show more

This has been working quite well on reducing my scar. I use it 24 hrs a day. It sinks in so doesn't leave that shiny spot on my face.

I bought this right before I gave birth to my second child. I have only been using it for about 2.5 months. I am super happy with the results so far in my scar from the c-section! I am putting it on 3 times a day because my shirts and pants are touching the scar. I went through a tube every other month so far. I noticed that when I put too much it gets tacky but if I put only a little it dries. I will update in another few months! ... show more

This gel is thick and it takes some massaging to get it into the scar. I am using it on a long scar on my leg following knee replacement. It seems to work quite well and better than a cream that I was using. After massaging it in, I often put the Cicamed tape on top. The redness seems better than it was for my first knee replacement, where I used other products. I am only eight weeks after the replacement and did not start using it right away. I’m bit lazy and impatient so I was a bit bummed when I saw I had to stick with this for a couple months for it to work. But let me tell you, it was totally worth it! I had to have an emergency laparoscopic surgery that left twoscars on my once perfect belly & I was devastated :-( I love to wear bikinis! I noticed improvement after 3 weeks, but now after 7 weeks, I would say I’m almost ready to stop using it as my scars are barely visible. & I still have a few months of summer left to show off my belly, woohoo! One of my rock climbing buddies turned me on to this scar gel. I am surprised how many older scars it worked on (didn’t work on my main hand scar - it does say if it is white it won’t have much of an effect) but all of my new scars including a big one on my shoulder it has worked better than anything I have ever tried. I read the reviews and I didn’t find the tube to be small, it was what I expected (see picture on my iPhone 7 Plus, the company doesn’t have a pic like that). ... show more
