Product was great - operator error on our part caused the grass not to grow correctly. But, everything was included and would have been perfect had we read the directions better! It's a little ceramic dog with a hole in the top. Most people don't know this but the seeds you have to prepare for 24hrs before you put them on your chia pet. They turn into a sort of paste that allows you to spread them onto the ceramic surface. The hole at the top is where you pour in the water every day. The water soaks through the ceramic and waters the seeds; thus causing the grass to grow. It really is a neat little item and a great project for kids!! ... show more

I've seen commercials for this thing since I was a kid and just had to try one. I followed the instructions and filled it with water but the thing constantly leaks. I had to put it in a bowl. Also even if you fill it to the top no water gets to the top seeds, so the plants only grow around the mid section. My curiosity is satisfied and I see it as pretty mediocre. ... show more

My daughter absolutely loved this. Although I've never purchased this til I did, I just don't know how to fix it when it's dying... The instructions doesn't say all too much in detail on the box etc... but either way it says you can go on the website. I'm sure I can find a youtube or article how to prevent from dying/molding the next time I decide to purchase again ... show more
