    • This model 100424 does not have a 27 ton capacity. It's only 24 tons
This model log splitter is false advertising by Champion. It only has a 10 cm (3.937 in) bore hydraulic cylinder just like its 25 ton log splitters. In order to get 27 tons you must make sure it's got a 12 cm or larger bore hydraulic cylinder along with a 2-stage hydraulic pump. I bought this Splitter for my son in West Virginia. He is thrilled with it. Says it has increased his firewood production at least 5 or 6 times. Hardwood is difficult to split by hand. His back is stronger for it. THANKS !

It worked great for a while until the return mechanism quit working. We tried to reach the customer service department and they put us on hold over an hour. It was the worst experience I have ever had, just to find out what to do about the problem
