1.A ticking sound will be heard upon connecting to the power source. In this case.the red indication on the display screen will illuminate, indicating that the powersupply has been properly connected. 2. Press the knob once to start the heater and begin heating. At this point, the whiteindicator light on the display panel will illuminate (at Gear 1 by default). Turn theknob clockwise to increase the gear and counterclockwise to decreasethe gear. The adjustment range is 500-1,500 W. 3.Press the knob twice to activate the head shake function. In this case, the heatershakes its head left and right. Repeat the operation, and the head shake will stop Press and hold the knob for 3 seconds (release the knob after hearing a tickingsound) to activate the timing mode. At this point, the panel will display heatinggear, and the green gear position indicator will be turned on (at “1 hour" by default)Turn the knob clockwise to increase the gear and counterclockwise todecrease the gear. The adjustment range is 1-9 hour(s). 5. Press and hold the knob for 5 seconds and the child lock indicator will be turnedon. Release the knob later and the heater will enter the child lock mode. In thismode, the display panel will not allow heating or timing adjustments. Repeat thesame operation to exit the heater from the child lock mode.

This was a game changer for my husband to be able to keep working in the garage when it's now deep winter here in the North. Wall mounting it behind the work bench has allowed him to keep putting together all my little odd and end projects for us revamping and renovating the house. It heats up FAST, even setting it to the highest watt, and blows comfortably hot air that keeps his corner toasty. Easy to mount up onto the wall above the peg board too and can tilt 45 degrees downwards so it points where we need it to, even though the area is a little more difficult. It does get warm to the touch, but not scorching hot, another bonus for when he's not paying attention and is turning the tempt down or up and brushes against the main unit. It does have an auto shut off for tipping over or overheating, but we've never has it trip, sooo, bonus? hah. Timer function also a bonus so that he can set it and forget it when it comes to going back into the house. Remote a HUGE bonus for where we had to mount it since it's difficult to get to the controls for my 5'7 self (not so much his 6'2 but, eh) and the remote functions from everywhere in our single garage. ... show more

    • Works for small spaces
This portable heater works well in smaller spaces, but is not effective outside on a patio or in a garage space. I did try to use it in both places at my home and was quite ineffective. I moved it into our hunting cottage and it heated the area quite well. It did not get overly warm inside, but it was comfortable enough to not have to wear heavy winter clothing. We were comfortable in jeans and t-shirts If you are looking for something for a garage or an outdoor area this is not the heater for you. If you are looking for something for inside and in a smaller area this is the heater for you. The remote control controls the heater well with easy adjustments to the heat level and speed of rotation. It is overall well-made and light-weight. I live in Florida, why would I need a space heater? Well because we have a lovely back patio that we like to spend time on as a family and it does actually get quite chilly in the evening. No more dragging out blankets and creating extra laundry. Even outside this heater keeps the patio quite cozy!

    • Super Fast Heater
I decided to look up information about infrared heating since I had no knowledge about it. I learned: Heat is produced instantly. They emit rays which heat up objects, like people, instead of all the air. They don't use a fan so they are quieter than other types of heaters. They do not reduce the humidity in a room. Infrared heaters use less electricity because of heating objects not an entire room. This infrared heater by CFTORT starts pumping out the heat almost instantly after pushing the button. I tried it on low all the way to the highest level. It works not only fast, but the heat produced is significant. It can rotate or stay pointing in one direction. The heater has controls on the front or you can use the remote, which already has a battery inside plus an extra one for later. There is an automatic switch to turn the heater off immediately if it gets tipped over, and it worked like it was supposed to. I have an older home that uses oil to heat the house. The price of heating oil has skyrocketed. I keep my thermostat set low, but tend to raise the setting during really cold spells. I believe this infrared heater will keep me warmer since I am retired and spend a lot of time in one place reading or knitting. It will be heating me and not rooms that I am not using. My hope is to not raise the thermostat setting for the whole house, but use this heater to just target wherever I am spending the most time. This infrared heater is lightweight and portable so I can move it if I change locations. I will also turn it off when I am away from the house. I have great expectations from this little heater. If I had small children in the house, I would be very cautious with them around the heater. But since it's just two dogs and me, and most of the time one of the dogs is on my lap, I am not concerned about either of them doing anything to cause problems with this heater. I will update this review if I discover any problems related to his CFTORT infrared heater. ... show more

This is a very effective, vertical space heater. It comes with a handy remote that turns it on and off, increases or decreases the heat, and offers timing options. It also rotates (like an oscillating fan) so it can broadcast heat over a wider area and the remote controls that as well. There are nine different levels of heat. Even the first or second level puts out a significant amount of heat. There is also a little carrying handle on top to make it easier to transport. I haven’t had the opportunity to use it outside yet, but it has worked great inside. I plan to use it on my back porch in conjunction with the fire pit outside to help keep folks warm for winter gatherings. My only real concern with it would be the amount of energy it consumes. The documentation didn’t really talk about that and I have not used it enough to be able to see a change in my electric bill, but space heaters like this are notorious for taking up a lot of power. Aside from that, I really like this. I wouldn’t use it as a regular way to heat my home because of the likely cost, but for special circumstances or small locations that don’t have heat already, this is a great option. ... show more

    • Great heat
This tower heater puts out great heat with multiple heat settings. My only concern is that even using about 1/3 heat setting, the unit causes my (15 amp) fuse to trip. It's happened twice. Perhaps it's producing more amps than it should. Not sure, but I have not used since. I'll try in different outlet and update review if it works fine in that plug. ... show more
