It's a nice little salamander heater. It is very quiet compared to most that I have run. It's easy to operate, starts every time, and I don't have to raise my voice at all to talk over the thing. The heat output is not huge but more than enough for my little one car uninsulated garage at 30 degrees fahrenheit. It took about a good 20 mins to get warm and ran all day (roughly 8-9hrs) on the one 20lb propane tank, and it is still not empty, while I was working on a car. Heats great! Quieter than I expected. Yes, you can smell a tiny scent of gas, but that happens with gas fire pits as well. The hose screws in on the inside of the valve and use the wrench as directed. No, you can’t turn the heat on low, medium or high. If you are experiencing issues where it want stay lit or running, return it. 😊 ... show more

Flame goes out when gas butting is released, no matter how long I hold it in after startup. Sticker on unit says hold for 10sec, manual says 30sec, but even after several tries at 60 sec it still goes out. Disappointed!!

Frickin AWESOME this thing heats up my garage in no time .....Love it .....Only thing I'm not thrilled about it propane does give off a slight smell but nothing that I would worry about ......Glad I got this ....Oh yea I have a 2 1/2 car garage
