When I opened the box the hose was neatly rolled up, but the sight of the "metal/silver" item made me think it was going to be very heavy. I was wrong! It is much lighter than the green rubber hose that we have which is the same length. Altho the new silver hose is a bit more narrow, the water flow does not reflect any restriction caused. BOTH ends of the hose have about 6 inches of reinforced support so the end of the hose doesnt break away from hanging off the spout or being put on and off of the water sprinklers, car washer units, etc. We have duct tape around just for this repair. The silver hose does NOT blend into the grass it is bright and shiny, but this too will remove the tripping incidents and due to the hose being so much lighter, no one hates to put it back up. It came with a nozzle that is not fancy but nice, which I didn't remember reading about. Another thing we have found in the short week we have had is to water our Mango tree... the dirt does not seem to cling to the hose as it does with the rubber hose! This is something I have particular disliking to. When putting it away, my hands do not get filthy circling it around and around as happens to my hands with the rubber hose. So far so good. I will say though, it does get a bit warm (only warm) if sitting in the sun without water running through the hose. Happy Sprinkling. Best of luck to you all. :D ... show more

I took out needle in the heading as I am reviewing a basic garden hose. As you look online there are hundreds of garden hoses out there to choose from. I rolled the dice and got this in the 50 ft length. It looks lie decent quality but only time will tell. The immediate attributes are: extremely light weight, does NOT kink , and the nozzle has plenty of settings and good overall pressure. Trust me I have bought my share of garden hoses and they might have been around for one full season. In the past I would get frustrated with the weight plus the kinks which equaled being tossed in the recycle bin and a waste of money. Can't say that about this purchase. Heck I had a landscape crew here and they even commented how great this hose was! ... show more

I have had this type of hose before and will never buy a rubber hose again. These metal covered hoses are just so much easier to handle and so much lighter than the rubber ones, and they don't tangle like other types of hoses. Also, the fittings look very durable. The fittings are not brass. If you have hard water like I do, then avoid as hard water will make whatever you connect to the threads fusing together. They touch on this in the FAQ as they are in the process of redesigning because of this very issue - "A single solid brass female fitting will also help avoid "fusing issue" with the faucet." ... show more
