I’m so happy with my Ring camera! Setting it up was super simple—it only took a few minutes to connect to my Wi-Fi and get everything up and running. The video quality is impressive, with clear HD footage both during the day and at night, thanks to the infrared night vision. I feel a lot more secure knowing I can easily check the live feed from my phone, no matter where I am. The motion detection feature is spot on. It alerts me right away when someone walks past the camera, and I can see exactly who’s at my door. The two-way audio is also a great feature—I can speak to visitors or delivery drivers without opening the door, which is super convenient and adds an extra layer of safety. Overall, I am satisfied with the product. I installed it on an outside brick wall to view the driveway and garage with no powered charging. I am impressed with the wide-angle view, the video quality, and the overall look, it being a rebuilt model. It does not hold a charge quiet as long as a brand-new model. It was bought as an experiment to see if the Wi-Fi would work over that distance and long term and so far, it has been worth the money. ... show more

UPDATE: I just want to update this review to say that this doorbell camera is completely useless. It records no motion. It used to pick up motion 50+ feet away and not pick up people coming straight to the door, now it is good for nothing but live viewing. I wish I had ordered another nest camera instead. I feel I wasted my money. The ring doorbell camera has been pretty average for me compared to the nest doorbell I had before. The nest eventually stopped capturing sound so I replaced it. I like to be able to communicate with people through the camera and I had lost that capability with the nest doorbell cam. I can do that with the ring and I like that I can get live video on my tv and communicate that way as well. I just have a few issues: The video quality is kind of poor. The camera does not let in much light in broad daylight to be able to see a clear picture of a persons face, the color of their clothing, etc. (See photo attached of the uber eats driver). Yes the camera is in the shade but I had great lighting on my nest doorbell cam in the shade. Also the glare of lights is extremely bright at night (see the black and white photo attached). Another issue I have is that the motion detector is not consistent. It will capture motion within the motion zones about 80% of the time, but the photo I have of the uber driver, I watched her from my window stand there for atleast 30 secs then it began capturing video as she was leaving. 30 seconds is enough time for someone to unlawfully enter your home and the camera wouldn’t have notified me of a thing. However, it will capture the motion of a vehicle driving all the way outside of the motion zone I have set (see the photo of a truck passing my house). I will be fair and give it 3/5 stars. ... show more
