I'm just going to start off with the one minor negative I want to point out with this heater. It's indicated as a desktop heater in the product title, but unless you have a large desk that allows you to place this heater a good distance away from your electronics and anything else you don't want getting too hot, I wouldn't recommend it for a desktop...maybe a small, stable stand instead that you could place this on with nothing else. With that out of the way, I've used this heater about 3 times over the course of a week (weather only started to cool down in my area recently), and it's worked really well for a heater this size. It starts warming up almost immediately, and at this point, the lower of the two heat settings has been plenty for my needs. There's a separate temperature adjustment aside from the heat setting, and based on how I've been using that so far, I'm not sure I'll ever need to use the higher heat setting, but it's good to know it's there if needed. There's also a fan (i.e., no heat) setting, which pretty much makes this a year-round device, although I must say I have a couple of non-heater, fan-only devices with much smaller footprints that I would probably use in the summer before turning this on. I plan to use it primarily in a 10'x10' room and even with that, mostly pointed towards me, so for that purpose, this seems just right. It would probably be fine warming up the entire room as long as I have the door closed or a smaller space in a non-enclosed area. However, one of the things that would prevent it from warming up larger spaces efficiently or more quickly is that it only blows air/head in one direction, as compared to other heaters that would swivel automatically. This isn't a complaint, because I knew what I was getting when I ordered this, but I just wanted to point that out if you're considering it. There are plenty of other 1500W heaters that could warm up larger spaces because they swivel, but this one is not designed for that. Actually, I have one of those other heaters that I use in our family room, but it cost me almost 3x this one at the same 1500W power. At $28 at time of order, the value is about average for the capabilities of this heater, but I'll give it bonus points for it's good-to-high quality feel/construction. This is a very nice heater. I often use heaters for rooms to help with the energy bills, in the winter months. When I turned it on it worked instantly providing cool air and heat instantly. It is just about the size of my other heaters and bring out a lot of heat. It works effectively and blows out a powerful force. It saves me on my energy cost by focusing on a room instead of heating the whole house like my furnace would do. I often use it for my dogs when the temperature outside is a little cold but don't need to turn on the furnace yet with just using the space heaters to warm them up until it gets really cold outside. This heater will work effectively in providing heat source for my cat's room and I still don't have to worry about turning on the furnace to heat the whole house. This is a 1500-watt heater which can heat up any small space and even a whole room if run for a while in the room. I also will use one of these for my bathroom. I don't put the heater in the bathroom but somewhere near it to provide heat to the room when it's starts to get cold outside. This helps my pipe from freezing in the winter months. This heater has recoverable temperature sensor which means it can withstand extreme temperatures and recover its functionality once the temperature returns to normal. Love that it has a tip over switch that will automatically shut off if tipped over. This heater will be great even for frigid months when the furnace shuts off after reaching a temperature and then the room begins to get cold, I can keep this heater on me to keep me in my space of comfort at all times while it continues to blow hot air nonstop. I love the fact that this heater comes with a overheat protection system that shuts off when parts of the heater overheat. So, I don't have to worry much if I accidentally leave it running if I leave the house. But I hope that don't happen and it's always best to shut the heater off when leaving the house. It has three settings from 900W to 1500W and natural fan. The heater has a cool touch exterior, and I can tap the front of the heater with my hand when hot but not lay my hand on the front of it. So, this feature is really neat for the safety of accidentally bump into the heater. A Space heater shouldn't be understated. Especially if you have poor insulation like my home or big windows like my home and need that extra flow of a dependable heat source. ... show more
