  • Durability
Size: 6FT Color: Grey
Construction of the power strip is heavy duty. Don't really have any negative thing to say about it.

This power strip is definitely the correct quality for workshop, contact/mission trailers. High quality, very rugged build. Should give lifetime service. Price was a bit steep although that seems to be a common thing now days.

  • This is the outlet you want if safety is your main concern...
Size: 10FT Color: Grey
First off, this is the only 12 gauge outlet on Amazon. Gauge or AWG is the thickness of the copper in the wire. The thicker the more Amps and load the wire can take without overheating. If you're running a lot of equipment for long periods of time, this is the outlet you want to buy. First off, it's made out of reinforced aluminum which makes it light weight and never over heats. Sure if it was made out of steel, it might SEEM more durable, but it'd be 8 pounds heavier. So aluminum was a good choice. It's sturdy and well built. Perviously, I was using one of those cheapo outlets from Amazon, and noticed that the plug side of the outlet was getting really really hot. To the point that the plastic was starting bend in the cord. I got two of these and now spilt my load between two outlets and the plug side gets a little warm but nothing like before. I'm considering replacing all my outlets with this gem. You know when they say a fire was cause by electrical wiring? That's what they mean. People overload they're outlets and it catches fire. So this holiday season, play it safe. Pay a little more now save a lot more later. ... show more

  • Perfect for 20 amp needs

Using this for our garage refrigerator. The switch was originally tripping the switch, but with the power surge, we aren't having any issues anymore.

  • Buy something else
Size: 6FT Color: Grey
I recently added 20 amp outlet circuits to my home office and basement and realized I needed to upgrade to 20 amp power strips. Bought an excellent one from Southwire, but it did not include surge protection, so I ordered this one for laptop / monitor / laser printer setup. As soon as I picked up the product box, you realize something doesn't feel good about this purchase. The product box is too large and the power strip was just rattling around in the box. The only writing on the box says it is a "High Amp Power Strip" but no other product details except for a cheap bar code product sticker that was mostly faded and was on the box upside down. The power strip itself has no markings on it detailing its amps, watts or other specs. Just a cheap warning sticker about not to use it outdoors or in the rain. Most importantly for me, it has none of the holographic UL (Underwriters Laboratories) stickers that the Southwire or all of my other cheap power strips have on them. And also, no product brochure in the box detailing specs either. So, I really don't know what I received. I did plug it in and it does work and I will say that the power strip looks the part, but for something to use on high amp tool / appliance / computer circuits, the lack of professionalism and UL sticker does not give me the confidence to use this after going through all the trouble of installing high amp electrical circuits. ... show more

  • Heavy Duty
Size: 6FT Color: Grey
I needed a relatively short extension cord for my Air Fryer, and for my portable toaster oven that sit side by side. They are both on the same 20 Amp circuit, so I only use one at a time. But they are on the same plug and there is a TV on that same plug as well. So I needed a power strip to accommodate all the appliances. This one fills the bill with a 12 wire, and a surge suppressor as well. It is a well made product. ... show more

you get what you pay for. This power strip seems to be high quality. Plus its a 20 amp power strip. My cheaper power strips would trip off while running an electric space heater. This one does the job.

  • OK?
Size: 6FT Color: Grey
It’s sturdy. But there’s no UL (or other organization) certification on its body or box, no included technical specifications or user manual (other than multiple admonitions not to get it wet). It works, but how is one to know how well it is actually performing?
