Wow this stuff really works and works fast, very simple to use. We have orchards, chickens and cattle so flies can get quite annoying in the summer months. I put 2 of these out and in an hour there were a lot of flies in both. After 2 days both were loaded. But it needs to be away from areas where you relax or kids and pets around. IT REALLY STINKS!!! You do not want to get that liquid on anything, especially your kids or a curious pet. My only dislike about it is the cap. When you open it up it slides down into the closed position unless you hang it up. Also if your yard is small with limited air circulation the smell might be overwhelming. ... show more

This product is unbelievable. In 2 weeks it must have collected over 200 flies. (No I didn't count them). Huge difference. We can enjoy sitting outside again. The smell of the attracting can be off putting especially of you're sensitive to outdoors but that's also exactly what makes it work. This things catches allot of flies, but I feel what it does is just attracts them from far and beyond. It smells like dead fish lol...Seriously this is what it smells like

    • They do catch flies.

I did find that they did not attract the flies and many flew just beneath them. If they happen to be close to it and check it out, they cannot get out again. They certainly do not catch as many as they show on the ad. At least they don't stink like so many of them do.

Put both of these up in the backyard and when I went back out after 30 mins or so to check on them - Both already have like 50 flies in each! No flies flying around the outdoor patio couches or sitting area! *My only concern was the wire to hang them from, it's not very strong, with wind blowing, it moves a lot and I was fearful of it falling down - I had a shoestring that works much better and now I'm not worried about it breaking.     • Smells horrible to attract flies! It's all over my yard...

The scent of this product is the worst. I had good results with another brand and wanted to continue my killing of flies. Tried a cheaper brand "Catchmaster." Simple instructions, easy to use, horrific scent to attract flies. Filled to the appropriate level and suspended in a corner, away from the potential of smelling this with even the slightest breeze. The bad part was that the portion that supports the weight of this system broke loose and spilled its vagrant contents into my yard. One of my dogs didn't refuse the putrid odor and lapped it up (non toxic,) well some of it. The rest looked like a wet spot of dirt. Word spreads fast. Within a period of 3 hours (from when my wife notified me at work about the catastrophe that happened,) to the time I got home, I could understand why she vomited on the patio. The ground was solid black with flies. Any disturbance would send them into a frenzy. Looked like a scene from The Mummy when the plague took over the desert. There was nothing I could do to stop their draw to this milky, disgusting fluid. I had to endure the flies trying to penetrate my visible orifices, until I could collect the rancid moisture that collected in the soil. Shoveled this failed option for collecting flies into a bucket and tried my best to figure what to do next. Any ideas? How much does it cost to return to the manufacture to figure a solution, so this doesn't happen to anyone else? ... show more

The top did not stay up. We wound up having to prop it open with a rock. Smelled awful. Because it is blue you can’t really tell if the flies even were going in. We’ve used other products before and caught dozens of flies and eliminating our problem. Unfortunately this did not get the job done.
