Forget Raid. I went through 3 cans. Also don't bother with home remedies like mixing molasses and water in a big bowl and leaving it out for the bugs to jump in. That's supposed to attract the crickets and drown them. No, what REALLY works are these glue pads. Love the results I'm getting. Our maintenance man kept telling me that people in other countries eat the crickets and that those people are big and strong. I guess no one told them that crickets carry diseases like e-coli and salmonella. Their itty bitty feces also contain worms. Oh yum! ... show more

Have a problem every year around this time with the big spider crickets getting in the basement. The basement is finished and well-sealed. Somehow these annoying suckers always appear and annoy the crap out of everyone who goes downstairs! I've bought the enclosed "cricket motels" before, and they may get one or two crickets. The night I received these sticky traps I put one against the wall behind the water heater and another under a work bench. Within 24 hours, I had caught 7 crickets!     • The bug pictures are a distraction

My only complaint is that the fresh, stick pads have images of crickets (visualize locusts) all over and make it hard to see how many bugs you have caught. It's actually a little startling... and I can only use them in hidden locations lest I freak out visitors.
