We bought this particular enclosure hoping that it would double as a bench or table to save some space in our apartment. After assembling it we realized that it can hardly handle any weight on top. I weigh less than a hundred pounds and I could tell that it was about to break under my weight when I tried to sit on it. We kept a few light things on top but for the huge size, not being able to actually use the top to store things or sit on was just a pain and a waste of space. Cleaning this monster was another whole ordeal. There are cracks along each wall and the divider inside and litter gets stuck in all of them. I tried vacuuming them out but nothing really worked. The surface is also like contact paper basically, and the finish wiped off onto my cleaning cloth each time I attempted to tidy it up. The magnets that hold the doors closed are also terrible, so the doors would just swing open themselves from time to time, gifting us with wafts of litter box smell. Delightful. Ended up selling it and buying a smaller one from a different brand. It's SO much better. Getting that thing out of my house was long overdue. Don't waste your money. ... show more

    • Doors don't align properly

I bought two of these for our two cats and the first one was super easy to build. The doors on it were not totally aligned but opened and closed just fine. The second enclosure was a nightmare. The doors were not aligned like the first one but it was so bad, they won't close without forcing them to. I noticed the predrilled holes for the hinges are crooked but didn't think that would make the door so uneven that it wouldn't close. I have taken apart and put it all back together SEVERAL TIMES, thinking maybe one of the screws was not tight, making the entire thing off kilter. Nope... Everything is tight as can be. I even took it all apart and switched which side has the cat entrance, thinking the predrilled holes on the other side might be more aligned and unfortunately, it didn't change anything. I can live with wonky doors but know over time of opening and closing it, it will fall apart. Very frustrating when I paid so much. ... show more

After shopping several cat box furniture, I decided on this one due to the ratings. It was packaged well and I found one flaw (chipped piece) on one of the panels and it was painted over. All hardware was individually packaged and had an extra piece each. As others have stated, some of the holes did not line up and the hinges to the doors were a bit flimsy. However, overall I am very pleased with this furniture. The panels themselves are well built and the box looks like a fashionable piece of furniture. I put silicon in the corners to keep litter and potential pee (boy kitty) from seeping down. I put it together myself but had my wife assist with holding the doors because the pre-drilled holes on the panels did not line up with the hinges attached to the doors. ... show more

We had the litter box in my kids bathroom and there was litter all over the floor. My husband did not want a litter box out where people could see it so we got this. I took the shelf out and pushed the litter box all the way to the back. I placed a lined on the bottom (after reading another review) and then I put a cat mat in it as well to help with the litter. Although there is a tiny bit of litter outside of the door it is not much and I am very happy with it! It was worth the money. I put it together myself except for my son helping me lift the lid and sides to place in. It was a couple hours of work but it was very worth it. We are very pleased! ... show more

Looks great in our spare room. I just remodeled the room and wanted to hide the litter box. This was perfect. It came very nicely packed, no scrapes or nicks. Was super easy to put together - only needed a screwdriver. Took me about 20 minutes beginning to end to assemble. I listened to other customers and sealed the bottom seams with silicone right out of the gate so that litter doesn’t get down in the cracks. I really like this little setup, very discreet. My only problem with it is that for the price they should make sure that parts are not chipped and/or broken. The bottom part (unfortunately I forgot to take a pic of that broken part) was completely broken where the hole for the screw goes, at that point I had most of it assembled and did not want to deal with taking it down and returning it. So I used gorilla glue which solved the issue but it is a bit loose. Overall I am really happy with this! I would highly recommend!! ... show more

This makes the litter box set up so much easier to deal with. I was able to line the bottom with a rubber litter mat to contain the litter that flicks out, set a small air filter in there to help with smell, and a high sided litter box. They have no problems going in and out (my cats are 11lbs for size). on top, it fits perfectly in front of a window, so a normal medium sized dog bed fit perfectly on top and is their favorite spot. The cabinet doors' magnets aren't super strong, so if you have a cat that likes to push on the walls, they might keep pushing the doors open. ... show more

I read a lot of reviews before ultimately purchasing this cat box holder. It’s large and tall enough inside that my cats aren’t cramped. I don’t use the inside insert to give them room. It’s sturdy and super easy to clean. Cats immediately took to it. We no longer are stepping on cat litter. This box keeps it contained. No more unsightly litter box.
