We have a pug who comes to stay with us and will eat the kitty poop (ew). I keep the cat litter in the bathroom and didn’t want to tear the door off to cut a hole into it so the cats could get in with it closed. So I purchased these and they work great! They keep the pug out while letting the cats in. They super easy to install. You just have to remember to hook it again after going through the door. Definitely recommend for a simple solution to letting cats into a room while keeping dogs out. Unless, of course, you have a toy breed. They might be able to fit through. We've just adopted a dog and he was very interested in our cat's food. I was trying to think of a solution where we didn't have to put up a gate or install some sort of cat door where his food was. This seemed like the easiest, most affordable solution but I was really skeptical to see how well it would work. It's super easy to screw in the little adapter that you put in the door latch hole, and I adjusted it so that the cat had enough room to get in but the dog couldn't get past it. It stays latched and even with force it doesn't budge much at all. I added the 2nd one in the pack to our bedroom when the cat needs some peace and quiet from the dog haha. I have a large dog that tries everyday to stick his head in the cat room and this product works nicely to keep him out but still be accessible to the cats. I like that it’s adjustable. I have a handle rather than a circle knob and it works as intended. It does occasionally fall off when I have the door open all the way but not when it’s latched. Here’s a picture of my cat testing this out. The dog in the picture also tried to test it out and couldn’t get in. I was originally looking at pet gates which would have been more costly but then this item popped up and I decided to get this instead. It’s easy to “install” and take down.

This is exactly as described! I didn't have to worry about damaging my walls and it keeps my dog out of my cats room so she can eat and have her private space!
