We have had this camera since 2019. We have the two cameras hooked up and they work great. We are not able to have internet where these are but they record short clips on to a card. Recently the display would not turn on. Contacted customer service and had a response within 2 hours. They suggested some troubleshooting and when that did not work they sent out a new power cord. I bought this hoping it would do what I needed to help monitor the back door of a retail shop but I underestimated how great and easy it would be. No complicated hookups, you literally plug it in and it's connected. It has a motion alarm feature that dings when someone comes into view if you want it to as well as an intercom function so not only can I hear and see the back door but I can press the talk button to communicate to whomever is there. I am so happy with it! It came with an SD card installed for recordings as well. Installation was super easy to hang the camera. No wifi needed, the monitor has a clear picture and voice. I ordered this product, I came quicker than expected. Setup was easy. Camera works well, as does night vision. The only drawback is that the night vision does not work through a window. During the daylight hours, it is fine. I set up the second camera outside, and the night vision works perfectly. I had an issue with the Monitor not turning on, but Tech support responded quickly and the issue was resolved within minutes. I would strongly recommend this product, for the price it offers great security equal to, or superior to a more expensive system. ... show more

I purchased 2 separate units with two cameras each of the VS802 in 2021 as Christmas gifts. Since my son already had a system put together for his home, I decided to keep the extra unit for my home. It had very easy instructions to put this together. The camera quality is perfect, for day and night, and most importantly, the recording has everything you need if the police need to get involved with a break in, etc. If you have any questions regarding this system, the support team is quick to reply to your email and is excellent in giving step by step instructions. Update - After 14 months of use the tablet started restarting every 20 minutes or so. Would no longer connect to internet. Still monitored and recorded locally with breaks in coverage upon restarting. For the price it might still be worth it, considering it ran great for over a year. Original post - Overall very good camera system that does everything I need it to do. Set up was straightforward. Each camera requires wired power so I had to purchase power extension cables for each camera to reach the outlets. Daytime pictures are very clear. Touchpad works well and is fairly intuitive. BTW to get the tablet to go into screensaver mode without having to constantly see the picture, quickly press the button at the top of the screen. This was not in the owner's manual. I have the system set to record continuously and it takes about five days before the SD card is full and it starts to record over the oldest recording. It also records sound which is really nice. I have actually been able to hear conversations of people on the street 60 feet away. Motion detection works well. It will turn on the screen if in screensaver mode and will send you alerts if you have it hooked to internet. Internet connection requires ethernet hook up and uses the MyCamView App. Setting this up was not too difficult. I can view my camera feed remotely through the phone using this app. It skips a little but gives you a stop motion view of what is happening (my internet speed is not that fast). Motion detection is very good and will also send an alert if the system in hooked to internet. The only real con is the night vision. It is pretty grainy and pure black and white. It's functional but I also have a Uniden camera system that delivers a much clearer night picture in color; that is also a much more expensive system. So very good overall system that would benefit from better night vision. I will likely buy another one but may upgrade to the VS1002 for better night vision cameras. ... show more

The system works well and does what I need it to. It has several very nice features, and one that I find particularly useful. If you place the monitor in "scan" mode, it will turn the monitor off (or standby) but continue to monitor and record. If one of the cameras detects an event, that camera will instantly come up on the monitor along with an alarm that has a fully adjustable volume level. This way, I can sleep in total darkness with no monitor shine, and yet when a camera is triggered, it will instantly alert me audibly as well as the screen popping on from the triggered camera. If you dial in the sensitivity of each camera properly, it will eliminate false alarms and only alert when there is legitimate movement detected. I built a little custom shelf (see picture) for my bed headboard, which allows me to sleep with my head only about 3 or 4 feet from the monitor. When the alert sounds, all I do is open my eyes at the same time the picture pops on from the triggered camera. It really is a sweet little set up, for a reasonable price. And the customer service is TOP NOTCH. These people are courteous and prompt in responding, and they will solve any issues if necessary. Not to be overly dramatic, but the customer service is among the very best I've ever dealt with. If you are considering buying one of these security camera systems, I would recommend doing so. ... show more
