After finding out about this clever catcher and purchasing one, I came back immediately to have another for upstairs, then bought two sets of 6 to give as Christmas gifts to family, and birthday gifts for young science type kids. Where we live one of our issues are stinkbugs that get into the house and church where I work, who knows how. Other ways of catching stickbugs always seem to end up badly for all sides. With this catcher, we've been able to catch 1, 2, 3 in there at once and send them on their way. We've used this for wasps, spiders (this allows you to get a close up to make sure not a brown recluse), flys, ladybug, beetles, and more. You just pull back to retract the yellow bottom door and open the chamber, plop it onto the wall or floor over where the bug is, carefully push the yellow bottom forward to close the chamber, then if you'd like, take a close up look at what manner of creature you've got inside. We release the bugs outside by opening the chamber and giving it a fling, and off they go, except for the few cases where the bug is dangerous and other options are necessary. The price is excellent---which is why we now have these in our church, the school, the nursery, and upstairs and down. This little device has made our lives much better! ... show more

Moved to Michigan. Bugs everywhere in the house. Mostly stink bugs - which stink when provoked. This is perfect to grab them, trap them without enough alarm to set off the stink, and quickly walk them outside where a quick flick while opening the slider dispenses them back outdoors where they belong. No trauma for them or me. The length of the handle even helps get bugs from higher on walls and low ceiling without a chair. Best new gadget this decade. ... show more

Good on a few levels. Save a small insect and release outside? Best device ever, and way better than a yogurt container and sheet of cardboard. For observation for adults & children to catch and release bugs. And more. So clever I can’t quite believe it exists. :-)

I had a house centipede problem that has since been resolved, but I was hoping to catch some of those suckers with this trap. Turns out, centipedes are entirely too fast, and they shoot their nasty legs off when threatened. I did catch one lesser bug of the garden variety. I decided to bring this to the school I work at and donate to the science room. It'd definitely be fun for kids to play with outside. I think it works great for "slower" bugs, but if you have a lightning fast reflex :) ... show more
